Okay, Palmetto Superfoods. I'm not gonna say I was eavesdropping on the owner chatting it up with his bud next to me outside while I was chowing down on my açaí bowl, but when you're chatting that enthusiastically about your biz, I can't help but listen in haha. Hi owner! Props to you for opening up an awesome new snackie option on Clement!
Idk how new y'all are, but it seems quite new. The staff seem to still be getting up to speed, and figuring things out. I asked quite a few questions, which a few came w blank stares back. BUT the owner did jump in a few times to help out. New biz, I get it.
As for the bowl itself, and as others have said, it's a hefty and loaded w delicious açaí, fruits, granolas, nuts, and sauces. To your hearts desire! I am more of a tropical fruit person myself, so my fruits of choice were mango and pineapple. I was a bit hesitant about the pineapple bc it did look like canned pineapple at a glance, but I hope it's fresh like all your other fruits!
In the end, it made for a great afternoon snack. It was a bit of a sticky mess with the recommended sauce...a towelette to-go would've been a great addition! The trash can is also hard to spot when you're chowing down outside (FYI, it's all the way in the back). Would definitely...
Read moreTldr- used to be my favorite, now it’s not worth it. poor quality, overrated
The service/quality has really gone down hill. This is the second time I’ve come to this location and had to wait 30-40 min for my order (while others who ordered after me got theirs in less than 10) but worse is that my order was actually ready just sitting there melting.. this is a problem with the system/notifying through text or calling out a name when order is ready? Just pretty frustrating when you’re there and your order gets put to the side to site for 15 more minutes while you wait for nothing.. I don’t think this is really the fault of the workers, they were nice enough to remake it.
**edited to update gave this place on more shot and again a big disappointment. Order was made incorrectly, but worse than that our bowls were like soup. Almost everything melty and soupy the second we got it. AND they keep shrinking the portions. I remember back when I loved this place, the “medium” size was almost double what they give you now.. it’s ridiculous.
I feel bad for the workers here, they are clearly busy and overworked and I’m sure they get a lot of complaints about the quality going way down hill. Stop opening new locations and prioritize the ones you...
Read moreFirst time ever eating at a place like this in the West Coast. I tried something in the East Coast (New Jersey) that was not at all as good, or as tasty or as fresh as this. So many wonderful, healthy and mouth watering options here. Everything is packed with flavor and the quality of the fruit, granola, etc. is excellent. The seating is open, and not formal, much more relaxed. It was incredibly busy when my husband and I walked in, so the wait was about 20 minutes, however, it was definitely worth it. Every bite was pure satisfaction. The employees were friendly and working super hard. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a fresh and healthy place to eat versus all the fast food that overwhelms this area. It was $30.00 USD for my husband and I, medium sized cups, that price includes the 20% tip as well. We believe in tipping for hard work and great service and high quality food. A medium is quite a large portion with all the fruit, almond butter, peanut butter, açaí, granola, bananas and mango that was in my “Flex bowl.” I wasn’t sure how filling it would all be, but that size was definitely worth the price it cost. It was...
