I visited San Francisco on vacation and the service I received at The Socialite Kitchen & Brewery was HANDS DOWN the WORST I received my entire trip. There was an issue with our order and our server, Javier, had such a bad attitude from the moment we walked in to be honest. My child, whose order was prepared incorrectly, initially was simply asking for a different sandwich. At first, Javier debated with us and stated that the sandwich was prepared as it was described on the menu which was incorrect, and implied that we were wrong. He interrupted my child and made him feel uncomfortable. He then goes to get a copy of the menu to prove that we were wrong but when he realized HE was the one who was incorrect, he literally threw the menu down in front of my child and said well what else do you want. No apology or acknowledgement was provided whatsoever.

My child subsequently ordered and received a different item and it tasted ok. There was nothing spectacular about it and at that point, we'd lost our appetites. Neither of the dishes we ordered were remotely worth the cost or inconvenience of how we were treated.

Despite how beautifully decorated it is on the inside, there is no way I would ever return to this place or recommend that anyone else does unless you do not care about receiving good customer service. It does not cost anything to be kind and respectful to your patrons. Regardless of how the food tastes, I always expect to be treated as if my presence will be appreciated and valued. This was a disappointing experience and an absolute waste of my hard...

We stumbled upon The Socialite while exploring Fisherman's Wharf, and what a find! The window table we scored might just be the best seat in the city — front-row views of the Skystar Ferris Wheel made for an unforgettable dining atmosphere. Add a glowing neon sign overhead and some cozy table décor, and it was picture-perfect (literally — see the photos!).

The vibe here is way more relaxed than the often chaotic Pier 39 spots. Friendly staff, stylish decor with pops of color and personality, and a great blend of indoor and outdoor seating options make this a standout.

Food-wise, most of it was fantastic. The burger and fish & chips were both flavorful and well-prepared. Our only critique? The timing of the courses. My burger arrived before our bruschetta appetizer, and my wife's fish & chips came out at the same time as the bruschetta. It felt rushed, like the meal was trying to sprint to the finish line.

Speaking of the bruschetta — the flavor was decent, but the bread choice was puzzling. Instead of the traditional toasted baguette or rustic Italian bread typically used for bruschetta, it was served on thick, Texas toast-style slices. It was heavy and bulky for what should be a light, crisp starter.

That said, the overall experience — the view, the drinks, the friendly service, and the relaxed energy — made this spot well worth the visit. We’d absolutely come back, especially to enjoy that window seat again with a beer in hand and the Ferris wheel glowing...

I know this review is going to feel like it's coming out of left field, but hear me out. The Socialite has a small section by the entrance that sells boba and slushies, and is one of the few spots near Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf that does so... you take what you can get.

I was with a group of student employees and we were all trying to find some cafe or drink to burn some time. Walking by The Socialite, we found they had a corner with boba, much to our surprise.

The boba here was very standard and normal for SF prices (around $8 for a drink). We figured why not since we were craving some. With the setup being as small as it is, it was obvious that everything would be pretty standard with powdered teas and flavored syrups, but they surprisingly did add some pizazz with some fresh fruit for some of the drinks that my students ordered.

I went with a basic Oolong Milk Tea (which they claimed was non-dairy) and it was fine. It scratched the itch that I had instead of needing to go all the way to Chinatown for boba on such a short time frame. Give it a go if you really want some boba while visiting this area...

Ordered ratatouille but got arrabbiata pasta instead. When I went to address this, the restaurant was closed. The next day, I asked for a spoon so I could at least eat the WRONG order. The guy claimed it wasn’t their order because the packaging was different. After showing my receipt, he consulted another person who confirmed it was their order. Then he complained that giving me an extra spoon costs money because the order was from yesterday. When I mentioned the order mix-up, he said the manager knew the item wasn’t available, even though it was on their menu and bill. I didn’t even want the money, just wanted a spoon. Apparently, they prefer serving attitude and wrong orders over decent customer service.
