We had a welcome party at Yara before our daughter's wedding and Yara delivered more than expectation. Everything was perfect from the arrangement, execution, and service. Everything went very smoothly. Starting from the ambience, they decorated the restaurant with beautiful flowers making the event was elegant and welcoming. The food was outstanding. We had a lot of foodies attended, restaurants owners with Michelin stars and everyone was WOW by the qualities of the food, fresh, and excellent qualities. We had sushi with fresh fish. Had to say that the sushi (Salmon and tuna rolls) were top qualities like we had in Japan and in some Michelin Stars restaurants in US. We had Watermelon marinated in Sangria as a starter, Foie Gras Bonbon with Raspberry, Steak Tartar Cornetto, Lobster Croqueta, and the Wagyu Mini Burger was out of this world. The bun was soft and the burger was juicy and melted in your mouth. The desserts were decadent. The bar was flowing. Too bad we do not live in Mallorca, they really know how to do party from picking DJ for us, videographer, and service. I have never been to such a beautiful parties. They really know how to arrange a party. The best place to have an office, holidays parties. Well executed and the staff are super nice. Thank you Ivan from Yara who made our party...
Read moreDelicious food, great service, and nice atmosphere. Indian is our favorite cuisine, and Yarsa did not disappoint. My teenage son and I stopped in mid-afternoon after touring nearby Coit Tower. We started by sharing a plate of steamed Nepalese Chicken Mo Mo dumplings - OMG, they were the best I've had anywhere, especially with the curry dipping sauce served on the side.
I was delighted to try the Yarsa Cashew Almond Curry - a curry I've never encountered at one of the many Indian restaurants I've visited. It tasted very creamy based on the pureed nuts, and had a wonderful palette of curry spices. I ordered it with chicken, which was very tender. I'll be back to try other Yarsa curries, like their Himalayen Ginger Garlic Curry!
My son ordered his regular dish - Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken). He loved it! It was a tad less creamy & buttery than at other places, but we liked that because Makhani often relies too heavily on its creaminess at the expense of the other flavors. I personally like it with a little less sugar, but it's sweetness was on par with most places I've tried this dish.
The service was friendly and prompt without being hovering. We'll be back with the rest...
Read moreI was very surprised by their services, food and atmosphere. I am a local here in San Francisco. Aways pass by this restaurant but never try it myself. Today I took my boyfriend there and we had a great time enjoying the recommendations by the owner. He is a sweet bear. Thank you so much for your recommendation. You should always consult him for advice on food. We were served with the dumpling and a salad. The dumplings are alright but the salad was really amazing. Its crispy texture and sweet citrus-like sauces really soak through your taste bud. I love it. I am speechless. Hopefully you guys can check it out. The salad is actually their appetizer called Yarsa Chat. I was left in awe. The appear looks strange or even untinted but the flavor and layers of texture is something you will never forget. I love you guys!
Speaking of the space and ambiance there, it is amazing. The wood/bamboo seating offers a feeling of rural and countryside. Sitting there being in North Beach and San Francisco makes you feel yourself in Nepal and far away from the city life. You go back to your original true-self. You left this place with a better mindset. Truly a gem in the...
