Happy House is one of my favorite shops in San Francisco — a true hidden gem. It’s a beautifully curated gift store where everything feels intentional, joyful, and a little magical. From playful stationery and home goods to unique jewelry, candles, and kids’ items, there’s always something unexpected and delightful to discover.

The staff is warm and welcoming, and the space itself is lovely to be in — bright, cheerful, and full of personality. Bonus: they have a gallery upstairs that features local artists and rotating shows. It’s such a thoughtful touch that adds depth and heart to the shopping experience. I love that this place supports creativity in so many forms.

Happy House is a space steeped in joy, care and intention. The craft showcased here and the curation is unmatched. It’s very clear that staff and ownership show up daily to uplift local artisans and community.

They bring a collaborative spirit to the neighborhood that truly represents our beloved city. As someone who lived in North Beach for 10 years, and also ran a business in the Grant/Green corridor. I was thrilled when Happy House opened its door, but sad that I’d have to drive across town to shop its glorious racks and displays. Which I do whenever I can.

Happy House is my new favorite store! They have lots of awesome locally made items that are reasonably priced and the owners Nikki and Izzy are cool as hell! Their location is also a couple of buildings down from Washington Square Park, so it would complete a perfect afternoon of scoring cool stuff from the shop followed by grabbing a slice, a beer and people watching in the best neighborhood in the city!
