Agua Salada (Contemporary Mexican Seafood) — Restaurant in San Jose

Alex was great from the very beginning of my search for a local caterer. He has great communication skills and always responded in a prompt manner. Wait... It GETS BETTER!

The food was delicious! We had a customer and employee appreciation breakfast at our headquarters in San Jose and Alex (Agua Salada) provided us with great tasting and very filling breakfast burritos, they were huge.

Everyone really loved the Carne Asada & Nopalitos. The Chorizo was a close second and the bacon was no slouch! All had great authentic flavors full of cheese, pototoes and the works. He also provided us with a very tasty salsa and Chipotle sauce for them.

He didn't stop there! We also had Aqua Fresca in 3 flavors. Horchata, Jamaica and Sandia!

Alex arrived on time which was a big ask for so much food at that time in the morning. We open at 6am in the morning, so Alex and his team were working in the early hours of the morning to get us 210 breakfast burritos!

I highly recommend Alex and his team at Aqua Salada and we look forward to doing more business with him in the future! One of the things that was different about Alex was he was willing to do a tasting prior to our event, not many other caterers would do that for us. They need to open a restaurant... the food...

I went here because of an influencer on Instagram. We were greeted and seated right away. What caught my eye as soon as I entered is the decor and the color scheme, it was beautiful. It reminded me of a upscale restaurant you see in Mexico by the beach. What I liked is that the kitchen was on one side of the restaurant, but I didn't like that where we sat people kept passing by with tubs that needed to go to the refrigerator in the back. What threw me off was that we had three different people asking if we placed our order and if we needed anything, so not sure who was our waiter. When we placed our order, our drinks arrived in a timely manner and two dishes as well. I waited for my dish for 20 minutes and we asked two people where it was until one told us that my dish was not place so they had to put it in again. Stumbled upon this restaurant on a Sunday morning. It is absolutely a hidden gem in the South Bay.

The food - phenomenal! The imperial ceviche was perfect! It had the most amount of seafood I have ever seen at a restaurant and the seafood was super fresh! It came with shrimp, octopus, and crab! The Baja style fish tacos were on point as well. It had a fusion take with the spicy mayo dressing on the top.

The service and hospitality - amazing. The owner and staffs were so kind and eager to introduce us to various specials and checked in to see if we needed anything else.

This restaurant is currently nested in a parking lot operating out of a few food trucks but don’t let this stop you! The food and service is so amazing and the music playing in the background creates such a vibrant atmosphere for dinning.

The owner has expressed that he is in process to transition this business to a restaurant! Definitely...
