I've been here several times...and I totally forgot!! Camino Brewing was even a stop on a Beer tour for one of my friend's birthday!! Total Brainfart! I completely forgot about this place!
The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, fast and efficient. Parking can be challenging, I'm not sure if there is a lot on the back... In the front it's definitely street parking...and good luck with that! The inside is simple, elegant and spacious, not impressively large by any means. However, I don't remember the massive outdoor Beer Garden and I also didn't know one could get Tacos here: Camino Brewing Co. is also the home of Cardenas tacos. A great compliment to some great beer. Check out his IG page for more details: IG: cajetasjbayarea
Some brilliant beer I chugged: (that I can remember) ~ BEER SLUSHEES! AGUA FRESCA - CUCUMBER MINT LIME - GOSE - 4/5 ~ JAMES STAR - DOUBLE RYE IPA - 4/5 ~ FRUIT CUP - DOUBLE HAZY IPA - 4/5
Don't forget to try the Beer Suushee! I didn't know of such a thing...very interesting! One can also take a Brewery Tour here as well, the staff is very chill and are happy to oblige. This is also one of the few breweries I've been to that had Female Master Breweres...at least that I know off. Great job ladies!
Looking forward to returning and trying the Rioja! No release date as yet... (time I write...
Read moreWonderful outdoor seating to enjoy your beer, if you could. I've been to all the San Jose breweries except Camino so when we stopped there during today's Viva Calle bike event I was excited. Unfortunately, when we got to the outdoor seating and ordered some beers, we had to listen to a lame DJ playing rap music at ear splitting volume. Fortunately, we had ear plugs and used them. Why can't breweries just let us enjoy their beer. Why must they damage your hearing as well. I hope to go back and try some more Camino beers, but I'll call ahead to see if hearing impairment is on the menu as well as beer. Seriously, to the owners of Camino Brewing, let us sit in your patio, have a conversation with our friends, and...
Read moreIn A Nutshell:
-Camino Brewing Co. is the newest craft brewery located within a 1 mile radius from downtown San Jose. -It's small in size w/ minimal design, but the two beers my wife & I tried were explosive. The Double Income IPA (which I chuckle at bc of where we live), is a great tasting IPA. -The Cafe Con Leche is a dark stout w/a nice touch chocolate taste, I'm pretty sure this is one is gonna be a rockstar! -I was able bring my well-behaved dog inside. -BTW, their name comes from the co-founders 1900 bike trek along the world-famous Camino de Santiago :)
Overall, I'm very happy Camino opened in this part of S. 1st Street. It's now the 3rd one to help update this part of town. Swing by...
