Classico! In all of my reviews I openly admit that I love "California Burritos," but there have been a couple of traditional styles that rank pretty high on my list, and this is my new "traditional" burrito of choice.
There's a lot to this place, and I'm ashamed to admit that I avoid ordering my favorite dish, tacos, because I can't bring myself to pay $3.50/taco after having them for 40 pesos/3 tacos ($2) in Mexico. Although; the taco bar is legit, and it stays open until 3 a.m. on the weekends. That's pretty hard to beat, but I digress.
The burrito was absolutely delicious and included guacamole and sour cream, without charging extra. That says a lot considering the burrito is only $11 and comes with a side of chips. Totally authentic...
The hostess directed me to the salsa bar attached to the taco station outside to grab any extra on my way out the door, which offers the choice of red or green options. If you're wondering which of them is the hot one, the answer is yes. 😅
The atmosphere was in stark contrast to the flashier options down the street, and the prices reflect the effort being put into the food and not the decor. It's not a bad place to hang, as they were showing the baseball classic and futbol on their televisions, and if you're from Guadalajara, this place feels just like home.
Overall, there wasn't anything to complain about, and as a reviewer, I love complaining. Even the micheladas were delicious and well underpriced. At first I thought they might be serving them in a smaller glass, but it came out in the exact same size glass that it always does, for $8.95. It's just an...
Read moreMe and my family went to this restaurant after a tough soccer game, we were very tired and we came to this restaurant looking for some bomb tacos and food but we weren't satisfied with the results. We got in to the restaurant looking like its was full but it wasn't, next we sat at a table and it felt all gressy and messy with like some food that was left over from previous customers. We ordered and we got our drinks at a reasonable time but then it was at least 35 minutes for our food to come. We ordered some tacos de asada and it tasted weird so we asked them why and to replace it. The lady then said it was meat from the day before, fresh tacos my butt! I had some tacos de lengua and it was alright but the tortilla was cold when I got my taco the horochata was too sweet and overall it's was horrible. We waited a long time to not even get fresh good food, would not recommend. Coming from a...
Read moreToday I decided to treat all my kids and wife to eat at this wonderful place. As we were waiting for our food my children noticed there was hairs in the chips so I kindly got up and asked the lady if she could give us a new set of chips without even complaining and she told me that they were our hairs and she gave me a snobby attitude so we decided just to get up and leave and that’s the sorriest customer service I’ve ever received at this place It was at 4:30 March 22I don’t know if it’s under new management but if it’s not you guys need to check the worker. And by the way today the salsa Was nothing but water And the reason I left wasn’t because of the hair it was because of her snobby attitude. I sure wish the owner that sings beautiful songs while you’re...
