City Bagels — Restaurant in San Jose

We googled breakfast places in the area and came across this little establishment. We ordered a lot of food online for pickup. I got there at the designated time and it wasn’t ready; however I could tell they were busy. The employees were very apologetic, kind and professional.

I’ll tell you what, that food was WORTH the wait! We had the #12 Bacon egg&cheese on a jalapeño cheese bagel, #17 Sausage+Bacon egg&cheese on a plain bagel, #9 LOX (salmon & cream cheese) on Asiago cheese bagel, a strawberry stick pastry, a blueberry cream filled croissant, a strawberry l cream filled croissant, and a few other pastries. Honestly this place is amazing! We will definitely patron again next time we see...

I went there for the first time yesterday and the second time today. The two stars are because the quality of the food was good. Unfortunately, both times it wasn't what I ordered (plain bagel with pb&j- pretty simple). First time I got cream cheese, second time peanut butter and no jam. Especially frustrating this morning, as I was the only one there and the two ladies behind the counter definitely both heard me and one actually repeated my order back to me and they had no one to confuse my order with :P

If I ever am really trying to get a bagel while I'm downtown I might go back, but I'm definitely unwrapping and checking it...

I was greeted with a smile and asked how I was doing…they waited for my response and genuinely wanted to know.

As I waited for my order, they greeted the next person and asked how they were doing…they knew their regulars and helped them get out the door and on with their day.

I was able to take time to look at the menu and when I ordered they asked clarifying questions to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted.
