I went to El Pollo Loco today for the first time in quite a while. The staff is always very nice. I find their menu difficult to read and to decide quickly what to order. It all kind of looks the same, some of the items aren't even on the board that I could find (BRC Burrito). It's just kind of whitewashed and not categorized logically. I was disappointed to see the salsa bar is still not back since pre-rona. To me, that was one of the bonuses. I ordered the Citrus Salad for $15. It was very lackluster and had no flavor. You get what is equal to a basic bag of salad with a few shredded carrots/cabbage, 1/4 of an avocado that wasn't flavorful at all, 1tsp of cojita, and what probably equals 1 chicken breast (maybe). The lettuce wasn't wilted but there was no flavor. Nothing stood out. The citrus vinaigrette is ok but I had to spice things up with some roja sauce. I felt like I was just putting ingredients in my belly. No enjoyment at all. It needs beans, onions, something to give it depth and make the cost worth it. I will still return as I am a fan of El Pollo but this salad was definitely one and done. I got so tired of eating plain lettuce that I just ate the chicken and the avocado (of the small amount there was). 😔

Was originally going to go to Taco Bell but noticed pollo loco and thought I’d spend the extra funds for better quality food. It was a good choice 👍 I liked how clean it was and was too busy. My food was ready quickly and they had unsweetened black tea which I really like. Got the shredded chicken nachos. The staff was nice and they understood my broken español 😅

Pretty sure this will be the last time we go there. They used to be good in past but the last three times have been very very disappointing. Every time we go there now and do to-go orders they have given us the wrong food or really awful food. Today we went and ordered a meal to go and 50% of our order was incorrect. Our side order was wrong and we asked for flour tortillas instead they gave us corn. We debated going today because the time before that we ordered another chicken meal to go order and our side order of mashed potatoes was literally like soup. It was impossible to eat it was thinner than any soup I've ever seen. The time before that we were given both side orders incorrect and also the chicken was so dry we had to throw it away. My suggestion to you if you Brave going to this restaurant is to definitely check your bag before you leave and make sure that your order is correct. Take off the lids of your side orders to make sure they're not soup when you ordered something else. I get that they are very busy restaurant but they should get your food to be the consistency that it should be. Like the chicken not being dry and the mashed potatoes not being soup, flour tortillas not being corn tortillas and rice not being beans. Each time we've gone it has not been cheap we have spent a lot of money there for bad and...

This used to be my favorite El Pollo Loco. My friends wanted to go to the one near where we all live. I told them l would take them to this one because I lived over there right near it for 18 years and the food was good. All three of us ordered. I was the last one to order. My friends got their order and was eating. Finally I looked over at the counter and the lady was waving for me to pick up my order. I told her that the device that she gave me never notified me. My order did not have every thing on the salad. I told her and she said something to the other lady. The other lady came out and pushed the food tray towards me. I don't think she understood so she kept shelving the tray towards me. This happened the end of June (2018). Months ago there was another incident, I ordered a meal to go. When I go the food I said where is the drink. (I am sure this was my fault ordering the meal without the drink by accident). She said "you ordered without the drink". I took my food and left. If it had of been me, I would have said would you like to order a drink, instead of telling the customer you ordered without the drink and turning around and start doing something else. Good customer service is what keeps your customers and grows...
