Erik's DeliCafé — Restaurant in San Jose

This is by far the worst Eric's Deli Cafe! I wait years before coming back and the soup wasn't very hot (COLD towards the end of the bowl), and they didn't cover any of the soups. They were all just dried up and gross looking. They don't seem to follow restaurant standards even after ALLLL THESE YEARS! THEY STILL ARE STILL GROSS! 🤢🤮

Previous 2-star review from 7 years ago! I've been coming to Erik's for a long time. I'm starting to have second thoughts about being a regular here. I had to stop going to one because they're NOT careful about my keeping my ALLERGENS out of my food, which is poison to my body.

And now this one doesn't care about MOLDY FOOD. I pointed out a moldy lemon and they only removed the moldy one even though it was touching the other ones as well. The others were squishy, but had dry spots like they were turning moldy. The excuse was that they were frozen so it was okay.... yuck! I was so grossed out through my whole meal that I couldn't stop thinking about their food practices. I'm not sure I will ever go to this one again.....at least not for a long...

The employee Paul (if that's his real name, the only male employee I saw working at 7:23 pm 8/27/22) was rude and hung up on me when I was asking him questions about soup temperatures.

Plus during the conversation he said I was supposed to go home and warm up my soup. Really? What is to-go food for, if I have work for it? Especially for almost $17 for soup!

Plus no receipt given, not cool.

FYI, if you are rude to customers, they usually don't like to return. ☹

Absolutely disgusting and disappointing. I tried this place once and hated it and decide why not give it a second shot because I know people who kinda like it. Fool me once shame on you … fool me twice shame on ME. Absolutely gross. My sandwich was pathetic and soggy as hell, the lettuce was straight up brown, put one pickle on it, one pepper … just gross, even tasted rotten. I had one bite and had to spit it out as I feared I was going to get food poisoning it tasted just rotten. Waste of my money. Honestly Subway is...
