Panda Express — Restaurant in San Jose

Absolute worst experience I've ever had with any restaurant. My girlfriend and I walked in at 9:40PM and were told that they were already closed. The entire Make line was empty. I asked where the food was and was told by a staff member Rhea they were closed and would not make any more food that night. Absolutely baffled I asked to speak with a manager as there was nearly 20 minutes until closing Emily is the manager who came to speak with me and concurred with the employee that we were being refused service as they were closing early this evening. Not only did several people walk out ,after being refused service , but then when Emily confirmed they were closing early several more people walked out as well. I asked for a district managers contact info as well as a number to contact corporate panda Express and Emily happily obliged and gave me false information. I just finished an almost 12 hour work day managing the restaurant I work for and simply wanted a meal before bed. I'm utterly disgusted and Furthermore disappointed with the complete lack of customer service and willingness to serve food during regular business hours. I can only assume this is a regular occurrence at this and many panda Expresses.. I will never return to any of...

This is one of my favorite Panda Expresses. In addition, this one being close to my apartment helps. The place is quite compared to the one at Mercado. Also there are enough empty tables on a weekend lunch time slot. I tried the firecracker shrimp here for the first time and really liked it and justifies the higher $1.25 charge for a premium choice. I give it a 4.5 only because over the years Panda has gone south when it comes to the quality of taste with their food - it's still overall good but the noodles and rice seem to have gotten dryer over the years - this particular location definitely wasn't as bad when it came to that - order was ready when I got there and like most Panda restaurants I go to, food is low to mid level warm, definitely not hot - then again, how much can "hot food" can you expect when it's kept in the open...
