See's Candies — Restaurant in San Jose

I had a great experience at this store today. I was there on Thursday October 19th at about 11AM. There was only one person working and I totally failed to get her name, but she was super-nice, and super patient!

I went in there to fill a box for my family - could not remember for the life of me what things my family likes (as they all like things I don't, and vice versa) but just went in on a whim to buy them a box. I was the worst kind of customer: "Umm.. I don't know what I want, can I please stare at everything and waste your time while you stand there waiting for me to figure myself out?" Okay, I didn't say that, but I wouldn't have blamed her for thinking that.

Quite the opposite, she was polite, totally understanding, totally patient and just chatting with me the entire time while I slowly made choices and figured myself out.

That says a lot! When you stop to think about it, working in the customer service industry is never easy. You have to deal with all kinds of cranky, confused, problematic people. I was that person today. Yet, the store staffer was patient, kind, and really went out of her way to make me feel welcome and at ease.

This isn't the closest location to where I live, but it's my new favorite, and I will be returning there again because of the fantastic customer service and staff I experienced...

Candy is always awesome. However, I had the most rude lady full of tattoos that had a mask on. I never even caught her name. She profiled me because I’m Hispanic. She put gloves on before taking my money because my purse was in my brassiere most women keep their wallet in their at least my age, anyhow, I took out the money she put on gloves in front of me with a cringe look in her face. I apologized then she grabs my 20 and goes to the back and check to see if the money is real 😂 I couldn’t believe it. I thought maybe the 20 was wrinkled or something so I asked her if that one was too wrinkled that I would give her another one. She said very rudely With a huge attitude that she was just doing her job. I would consider me a very polite person. I simply said nothing. I was shocked because I have never been profiled or no one has ever checked my money before maybe because I don’t look like somebody that would launder 20s .I can’t believe that they hired her. Most horrible sees candy ever, they have the most rudest workers. Would not take my online order for some reason and I tried for different items I'm not sure how they're out of an assorted box it literally means different chocolates and you could get any type that they pick for you so I don't know why they weren't accepting my online order. I then went into the store and the workers were the rudest ever do not go here ever. Just go to any other store and you will be treated way better. Workers are so rude do not pay any attention to you and judge you. Store setup sucks always out of stock dirty floors, and free samples are always stale and old. Clearly don't know how to box chocolate, and the workers are just so disgusting when either they don't work gloves, deal with money and then chocolate without washing their hands just cuz they're busy, and when they're either pick their hair or face and then continue to proceed and touch your product....
