Starbucks — Restaurant in San Jose

I never write a bad review unless there is absolutely no effort on the part of the business, but usually that means two stars since I can usually find something positive to say. This is my first one star review on Google, Yelp, or anywhere else. This Starbucks is within walking distance from my house, and as everyone knows, THERE ARE MANY OF THESE, so I am trying to become a "local" or a "regular customer." Within the last two weeks I've been there every week day without fail in attempt to build a rapport with them. There is one nice girl who is hard working here, but everyone else seems to have their favorite people who they shoot the breeze with for a very inconsiderate amount of time before handling my beverage. I always get a pike roast with room for cream, no matter what. Today they proceeded to have a high school reunion in front of me, then the barista disappeared in the back. I politely asked the manager, "hey, can somebody get me a pike roast real quick? I am in a big hurry today." She just said "you'll have to wait a second" and walked to the back. This behavior is beyond frustrating. I've tried doing the mobile order to speed up the process on a different day but I still find myself asking, "hey, did you get a chance to pour my regular coffee?" I had a dreadful experience here got to listen to a female barista complain about the Starbucks corporation her free coffee her free coffee drink her tips her medical insurance and how the Starbucks corporation doesn't care about their employees. she also complained about her boss and said she wanted to murder her and had a fight with her about these same things and the word murder really sat in my mind because those are words that I don't take lightly. So I let her know how I felt about it after listening to her squawk. I said you are an individual of free will and you alone are the person who brings you here to workso you choose to come here and work dose complaining give you a raise. I also said if she worked for me I would fire her because she's like a poison spreading her negativity to the other employees while the manager she complains about is not there. I believe the manager has worked there for many years and is always been very kind to me so I'm sorry for the one-star review. I was visiting in town for two days and this person ruined my experience at my favorite Starbucks on the whole planet. after the girl got off work her and her boyfriend walked around and gave me mean looks for about 10 minutes till I threw my drink...

Starbucks is always going to be a four star experience for me. It's a chainstore so this one is really not all that different from the rest. That said, the store is clean, the employees are pleasant and the order online service is the greatest! Please your order from your app and walk past the line to pick up your drink when you get there! They have the usual Starbucks selection of pastries, breakfast foods and light lunch ideas. My personal favorite for a light lunch is their protein box. My one caution on all Starbucks is to read the nutritional values for their sugary drinks. It's utterly shocking how many grams of sugar and carbohydrates those drinks pack. Diabetes in a plastic cup!...
