I got dinner from Taqueria Eduardo a couple of days ago as it was the closest place to where I was staying at the time. It is located almost in the heart of downtown San Jose in an area that tends to become deserted after 9 pm. There is no parking lot so you have to find street parking which is a little difficult on this block even late at night. Even around 9:30 pm it was around half full so its definitely popular with the locals. After going through the menu, I decide to get a Super Burrito ($7.99) with Carne Asada and coughed up another $1.30 to have it made “Wet” i.e. topped with red salsa and cheese. While waiting for my order I helped myself to a couple of sauces from the well-stocked salsa bar. Again, I saw them heat the burrito placed in the plastic container in a regular microwave (as the plastic from the container leaches into the food) which is something that I really dislike but it seems to be the norm in San Jose. This turned out to be a futile exercise as I did not get any free chips with my order. After ordering it was a 10-minute wait and I was on my way with my order. I got a decent sized container with a huge burrito. With the red sauce on top it looked pretty inviting. Unfortunately, the taste it did not live up to its looks. It was almost tasteless. Also, a lot of the stuffing inside the burrito was of extremely low quality and even though I was hungry I could not get myself to eat more than half of the burrito before confining the rest to safety of the trash can. Price-wise it was slightly more expensive than what you would pay for a wet burrito at say La Chingada Taqueria but the quality was just not there. I’m not sure what the locals see in this place but I definitely don’t see any reason for a return visit.

We each got something to try. Got the chile verde plate. It had small chunks of non fatty pork meat. Good flavor with a small amount of rice, beans and salad. Also, got the Ham and potato burrito. It was big and filled with refried beans, fried potatoes, egg and big pieces of ham all through out the burrito. I paid extra for cheese and could not see it or taste it but it was a good burrito. Soda (Coke and a diet) was a little flat (and too sweet). Prices were decent. Chips were a little too crushed and or broken and some too hard, but with the different salsas they were delicious. Female cashier was kinda rude and rushed us considering it was my first time there. We asked for chips and she said... "ya if u wait a minute, I will give u some." Server girl... didn't talk at all. We asked for things and she looked at us... took a while to get the extra napkins, chips, to go box, etc but it all eventually came. Female bathroom was broken. Men bathroom was not too clean but it was later at 7pm. About 5 tables had customers eating in. Overall, good food. Glad we found this little place. Sorry... only pic of the chips.

I was going to the one in Williams - easier for me to get to Race Street - so we went - this Eduardo is huge inside - lots of seating - but we did take out They make their carnitas a little different then other places - I assume twice cooked - and pretty salty but I like that - my wet Super Carnitas Burrito was big - made two meals out of it - my wife was underwhelmed by her Relleno burrito - my carnitas was like a meat sandwich - but mixing them together was the way to go - just right The guacamole in photo is homemade - so don’t expect that 😜 Update - Went back for super burrito and tacos - they go heavy on the meat - not complaining - red sauce is good and they do really good carnitas - quick service on a Sunday

Amazing Mexican restaurant with awesome selection of food and sauces from mild to spicy! The spicy sauces were incredibly authentic and delivered the taste of Mexico!

As an event designer I love to explore and taste local cuisines so I can order the food to different events from local restaurants. They never know when I pop-up to their restaurants to make a review!

The kindheartedness of the service is the first impression and experience of how the restaurant is like. This restaurant had so amazing and kindhearted service that it made me smile.

The food was well prepared and delivered in the foil so it keeps warm. I as a designer like to tune my food experience with beautiful food placement to have an fine dining experience as many times at events the food placement is the key for successful event. That is the reason why I also test food placements at the restaurants to see how fast the food can be delivered to a plate from the wrapper.

These burritos were incredibly well made, well wrapped and so delicious with different sauces and add-ons and well wrapped!

Definitely my goto place for mexican cuisine for events too!

Thanks for an amazing experience!
