Sunright Tea Studio - San Jose — Restaurant in San Jose

Sunright Tea Studio is one of my favorite boba chains for its consistent quality every time I visit. Having frequented the Sunnyvale branch for years, I was really excited to learn that they've now opened one in San Jose. The new location is spacious and the staff is friendly. However, it's worth noting that the parking lot is relatively small and shared with other businesses connected to them. There are alternative parking options nearby if the lot is full so plan accordingly!

During my recent visit, I got the Strawberry Frostie, and it was delicious (sweet, creamy, & tart if that's what you're into), just like at all the other locations I've gone to! I have deducted stars from my rating today, however, because I found three pieces of plastic in my drink. It's unclear whether these fragments originated from inside the blender or if they were remnants from the manufacturing of the plastic cups or wherever else, but they were undeniably plastic. I'm not sure if I ended up drinking smaller fragments of plastic in my drink or if those were fortunately the only pieces that I caught. I want to continue coming to Sunright but I feel wary after this experience from my first visit. Please be more careful next...

Their milk tea isn't too sweet at 100% which is why they recommend to keep it at that level. I got the sun right boba milk tea with 100% sweet, less ice, and house milk. The boba doesn't have a strong brown sugar taste and it has a bounce to it when you're chewing. Nothing special about the drink so I probably won't get it again. I also got the matcha oolong milk tea with 75% sweet, less ice, and house milk. I can taste both the oolong and matcha which is good. I would get it again and probably would go for the 100% sweetness. You order from the kiosk so NO CASH. I have been begging for good boba near dtsj, pleading out into the void for years. Then Sunright parted the clouds and shined their blessing onto this little corner shop that has been home to a couple different businesses over the last few years. I don't even want to say how much tea I have consumed this past month since they opened. I am going to have to start ordering with fake names so they don't know how unhinged I have become.
