Sky Head Spa — Local services in San Jose

I had a horrible experience at SKY Head Spa. The massage was anything but relaxing. They pressed on my head so hard that I was in pain the entire time. The product they used before washing my hair burned my scalp, and it kept burning while they continued to shampoo my hair. On top of that, they washed my ears and poured water and soap into them, which was extremely uncomfortable and unnecessary.

I paid $128 just for them to damage my scalp and ruin my hair. My scalp is now red and sore.

They completely dried my curly hair from the roots and brushed it harshly, breaking a lot of my hair. The stylist asked, “Are you okay?” while still pulling and damaging my hair. I just said “I’m okay” because I didn’t know what else to say while she was doing it. It’s their job to know the right technique — not to keep going when I was clearly in discomfort. You could easily see the pain on my face.

After washing, they rubbed my hair roughly with a towel, causing more breakage, then blow-dried it from the ends up without brushing or using any hair care products. My hair ended up frizzy, dry, and looking like a broom.

This place only knows how to handle straight Asian hair. They have no understanding of other hair types or even basic hair care.

I deeply regret coming here. I saved up to treat myself for my birthday, and it was all a waste. I feel completely ripped off for spending so much money on something that only left me in pain, with a red scalp and broken hair. Do...

This spa is clean and has such a nice aesthetic. Everyone is so kind and helpful. They bring you tea and you get to soak your feet at the start of the session. This is my first head spa experience so I don’t have a good comparison. The service as a whole was great but I felt that the actual head spa part could have been better. There wasn’t much of a scalp massage. They did provide a quick facial which was nice because I wasn’t aware that was in the service. The service requested said that there was an arm and neck massage but that didn’t happen. There were also several pauses in the session which made me start to wonder if the technician was looking at their phone or reading instructions. I also would have liked to have known what was occurring during the session as sometimes getting water on my face was surprising. All in all, I left with my hair feeling soft and having spent an hour of quiet time for myself. I’d go back here for a cheaper service or try another spot before deciding to come back. They do have a point system...

I walked in impromptu one Sunday afternoon suffering from tight neck and shoulders and a bad headache. They fit me in right away for the Sky 60 package with Han. Being pregnant, I cannot receive therapeutic massage on my stomach and prenatal massages have consistently underwhelmed. The head spa experience and Han's amazing, magic massage (lying on my back) healed me!! She took away what felt like weeks of soreness in that short time. The package includes face cleaning, scrub, mask, massage, SPF and moisturizer, and hand and foot moisturizer and massage. The hair treatment left my hair soft and clean. This is an incredible value for what you get! The place is spotlessly clean and has a calm atmosphere. They have a loyalty card as well as text program to earn discounts.
