Thai Chili Express — Restaurant in San Jose

Let me start by saying the Tom Kha (got it w Tofu) was DELICIOUS! Definitely will order that again in the future… that being said, all other items besides the Roti I ordered were… okay. We ordered the Duck curry, the Chicken Satay, the drunken noodles (w tofu). The Duck didnt impress, the curry tasted a little too sweet and the Duck’s taste was a little off. The chicken satay was much too over cooked, dry and bland. Tasted like it was thrown in the microwave. The peanut sauce with it was also too sweet and didn’t have great flavor. The drunken noodles were not the best, but also, not bad… just… eh. Add to those a Thai tea and a jasmine tea and you’re looking at a $100 tab for an alright meal. I highly recommend the Tom Kha but that’s all I recommend. Get it though! Maybe try a one thing at a time (in addition to the soup 😉) and see if they just had a bad day in the kitchen. The soup...

I went in the establishment for the first time, I wanted to have Thai food and I had expectations. Unfortunately that didn't happen, I place a simple order of Basil and chicken with egg on top dish. I waited and waited and waited for over 23 min. I've seen people come and go I counted at least 6 people that offer after I ordered. Two times I checked with the cashier and all she said was 'is coming' after 20 min I asked for a refund, I could just sit back another 20 min. While my food was not insight. Absolutely amazing food!! Only had tried Thai food a few times and had been craving it for some time but did not know how to order it I only knew what I had tried before and what I liked.
