I stopped by for dinner at El Conrro in San Jose having discovered this gem before in the Mountain View location. My brother ordered Sopes w/ asada and a asada taco. I went with the Conrro steak, salmon, lobster with asparagus, and red potatoes. The waitress brought us complimentary vegetable soups as starters it was good enough to order as a meal for the next time. We were informed the amount of time it would take to cook our meal, we were in no hurry. We had some complimentary chips and salsa while waiting for our meal finished right before our meal arrived. We ordered a Mojito, michelada perfect drinks. All in all I felt great value for my money, quality service, food well prepared expertly seasoned (I didn't add any condiments), reasonably priced. We intend coming back discover more plates of this...

Went back and had tacos today. Made a mental note to come here more often, it's a great little spot.

Tacos: Asada, Al Pastor & Cueritos (my new favorite)

I've been wanting to check this place out and my daughter reminded me today, so we checked it out.

She chose the shrimp cocktail and I chose the Campechana which is a shrimp cocktail plus octopus. The portions were ridiculously large and very much worth the $18 and $19 bucks.

Service was fast, friendly and welcoming. The decor was an absolute vibe, I want to come back here for after work drinks one of these days, those micheladas looked...

My girlfriend and I went in for the first time yesterday. She ordered shrimp and I ordered it enchiladas. The enchiladas tasted like they'd straight come out of a can with some red sauce but on them took two bites they were totally unedible. The shrimp were nothing more than something you'd have gotten out of the freezer section and warmed up. We were charged $56 for food that was totally unedible. Later that evening both of us who had been fine all day ended up sick to our stomach and in the bathroom. This place needs to be avoided. Overcharged food that is nothing more than freezer...

Amazing fusion of simple concepts, sushi and mexican flavors. Their Hot Cheetos Roll was really good and had just enough of that red spice for flavor to complement. The super micheladas are almost a meal themselves, large glasses filled with shrimp and other veggies marinating in a well made michelada with beer of your choice. If you like fruits with spicy seasoning, they have that option in the appetizers. There was a mariachi band playing the night I was there, they were excellent and knew the song I requested.
