i ordered a bbq burger and it was not cooked properly, im usually not one to complain, but i was so hungry so i politely asked the server if it would be possible to replace it. she then rudely proceeded to say that we had already ate off of it, and denied our request to have it replaced. we asked for the manager who seemed a bit more caring at first but she told us that the only thing she could do for us was to put the meat back on the grill. this is not ok! not sanitary at all.. after we mentioned how the waiter was extremely rude to us, manager denied our 2nd request to have the burger replaced.. & instead opted to give us a 10% off the bill for our trouble’s instead. she said that there were multiple incidents that day where customers were complaining about their food and not wanting to pay. it was very busy, so it sounds to me like the kitchen wasn’t doing a good job if there were many complaints that day. what did this have to do with us though? its not our fault that they were having a bad day, they had no reason take it out on us. once we said we were ok with paying for the food, they took it down a notch & were a bit nicer. manager finally gave in and approved a replacement. in my opinion it shouldn’t have taken several requests to get a simple burger replaced. you would think this is how our night ended, but im not done yet. since we were sitting outdoors, my friend thought it was ok to take a hit out of her vape. wrong choice, in less than 10 seconds we were asked to leave by the manger and security, no warning or nothing. we paid & while we were on our way out, we could hear the manager loud and clear talking bad about us to the security ! terrible customer service, never had i ever been in a situation like this. never going back. im only giving them a 1 star because thats the lowest i...

I am appalled by the treatment we received at this place! We were in town on business working later into the evening and just looking for a meal/cocktails afterwards. First of all, there aren't many places in San Jose that fit this description. We went to the Firehouse Pub a few doors down but despite their hours listed online they were no longer serving food. They suggested we go to the Old Wagon. From the front entrance it seemed more like a night club than a saloon serving food, however we went to enter anyways.

Here lay the issue, we never got in the front door. The security guard checked all our ID's , took one one quick look at me and immediately denied me entrance because of a tattoo I have on my neck. I am a multiple business owner, in San Francisco, and have been a professional tattoo artist for over 20 years in three countries. It's a hobby of mine to try restaurants, from bar food to high end, all over the world. This is the first time I have ever been discriminated against for having a tattoo. I don't have any tattoos that would suggest that I am gang related or anything of the sort. I just can't believe that I would be judged on a tattoo in this day and age.

This business should really review their policies to allow customers like me to enjoy their establishment. It's very unfortunate for them too because my crew and I are known for racking up a nice bill and taking good care of...

Horrible service, I went there back in November with my Son for lunch, who was visiting from out of town, food was good service was good, we met family members for dinner at House if Genji, (should have went there) we had brought up lunch and our experience and recommended it, the lady across was kind of laughing, she is our was the Mgr of this place, she had just got engaged, (hope she reads this review if she's still there) fast forward to tonight, took some friends here for dinner and what a mistake, we were ignored for over 20 mins, I went to bar for menus inside, the bartender said to me to order from the bar outside, the bartender there told me he'd send a server, oh what treat this guy all in black with the chain's and black hat, he was rude annoyed, I was be friendly even though we were bothering this waiter by being there, it wasn't only us,other people tried being friendly and would leave,we should have done the same, he brought out appetizers and left, we had to beg for napkins, drinks and plates, food took over 30 min, and the kicker he kept my change, I didn't want to cause a scene so I left without my $18 he didn't deserve, he kept either for us bothering him our for the horrible service he provided, will never go back and will tell the story if this place to anyone that...

My recommendation is to avoid this place and go somewhere else, anywhere else. The food is dog meat at best. Brisket lacked on every level (Thin, dry, covered with a thin, peculiar tasting barbeque sauce), the ribs were extremely over cooked, dry as can be (you can snap the meat in half). The meat (both brisket and ribs) tasted like it was microwaved. The atmosphere (which has incredible potential) and vibe is lacking anything desirable. The service was poor. If you are going to be a waiter/waitress engaging with you customers is key. When someone says they are going to head to the bar to look at the whiskey selection (and you do just that), the next question or engagement should be: "What whiskey can I get you?" I would imagine this also increases the bill which generally increases the tip, (but only if a nice tip is deserved). Zero mention of any whiskey or another recommended beverage. Spend your money and time elsewhere.

Never dined in there but staffs are arrogant. The bar will have loud music every Thursday night till 12 a.m. our apt building has great sound proof that we don’t even hear planes passing by, yet their noise is just unbearable. Staffs were rude and denied everything about their loudness (even when they didn’t hear what we say) and talked as if living in downtown means you have to bear their loud music at THIS time of A WEEKDAY night…They also asked us to talk to the apartment and how come would the apartment be responsible for a noisy bar not managed by it? Living in downtown doesn’t mean it’s somewhere not ruled by the law. No other bars have band playing music with amplifiers at this crazy volume. Come on, it’s just a small bar with this few customers, don’t pretend to be a music festival, except that it’s as noisy as a real one. Please stop being selfish and put business interest over the neighborhood wellness.

So I was walking past this place on my lunch break today when I smelt meat being smoked, and the smell was so good that I stopped for lunch. I got the half rack of ribs for lunch with Cole slaw and a Ceaser salad. The Cole slaw was very tasty and was not drenched in sauce and had a good balance to the flavors. The Ceasar was average but tasted good, and the veggies were very fresh in both salads. The star of the dish was the ribs, by far... the meat fell off the bone (literally) as I picked up the ribs, and a butter knife is what I used to cut the ribs apart. The sauce had a very small spice kick to it and was a tasty sauce. I still perfered a dry rub on my ribs, but the sauce here was still very good and flavorful. I will definitely be back because I want to try the brisket next, although it might be hard to pass up on the ribs, they were that good.
