So, I stumbled into this joint with the hunger of a thousand hangry hippos. The place had this vibe like it was trying too hard to be both classy and down-to-earth. Like, make up your damn mind, Pizza Bocca Lupo! Are you a dive or a high-class pizza paradise?
Let's talk about the pizza. The crust was crispier than my aunt's burnt cookies, but I kinda liked it. It had that rustic charm, you know? The toppings were as diverse as a dysfunctional family reunion. From pepperoni to artichokes, they threw it all on there like it was some culinary circus act. But hey, it worked. The flavors danced in my mouth like a bunch of drunken salsa enthusiasts.
Now, the service, oh boy. It was like they hired Usain Bolt on roller skates. Fast as hell, but I swear they were plotting to break the land-speed record for delivering pizzas. I barely had time to contemplate the mysteries of the universe before my pizza hit the table. I mean, give a guy a minute to savor the anticipation, would ya?
The ambiance was a mixed bag. It's got that urban chic thing going on, but the lighting was dimmer than my ex's chances of winning the lottery. I get it, set the mood and all that jazz, but I felt like I needed a flashlight to read the menu.
And let's not forget the prices. Now, I ain't made of money, but I also ain't looking for a budget cardboard special. Pizza Bocca Lupo, you ride that thin line between affordable and "Am I gonna have to sell a kidney to pay for this?"
In conclusion, Pizza Bocca Lupo is like that weird cousin you only see at family gatherings - quirky, a bit confusing, but deep down, you kinda enjoy their company. Three stars because, hey, life is too short to be stingy with the stars, and this place ain't half bad if you're into...
Read moreI went here on a Friday night with my family. We were looking for a pizza restaurant with few allergens, and this restaurant fit the bill.
I drove there, but it’s downtown so you could use public transit (but public transit here sucks so it’d take forever). It was hard to find parking, but we should have used the parking structure.
It wasn’t hard to find the restaurant. It was very busy, but they complete your orders very quickly. I thought the prices were a little expensive, but that’s what you get at a pizza restaurant for yuppies.
We ordered takeout and we were not waiting for a long time. We ordered two margherita pizzas and two specials. We had to drive home, so they were a little cold, and we warmed them up in the oven.
On the margherita pizzas:
The sauce was flavorful. The crust was good and fluffy. However, the cheese was underwhelming. It was clearly not fresh mozzarella, and to me margherita pizza NEEDS fresh mozzarella. This was a big disappointment considering the price.
The other pizza we got had meat on it. I’m vegetarian so please don’t tell anyone I ate it. This was pretty good, but the sausage was not worth giving up on vegetarianism.
Overall, it was a solid spot. I’ll go back, but my partner doesn’t want to. I wouldn’t go here if you don’t want to be surrounded by Silicon...

Located at San Pedro Square Market, it is a great place to go with friends or family, so many options to choose from so everyone can get what they like best. I usually get my pizza here and pick up a drink from Urban Ritual to enjoy alongside it.
This time I got their Joe's special pizza with sausage, mushroom and mozzarella. They are always very efficient and friendly with their service.
There is plenty of seating, both inside and out, with music and a couple of great bars as well. On many days there will be live music outside on the stage, especially during the summer. During the winter musicians will play inside one of the bars.
Sitting outside is really nice during the summer, it feels very communal, the tables are comfortable, and if you have kids they really enjoy running around and exploring the place while you might simply enjoy listening to the music when it's playing.
There are great options for dessert as well around the plaza, such as Mochinuts. This pizza place as well as this whole plaza are highly recommended for a good afternoon or...
