Lili Café was such an unexpected delight!
After seeing the line from another breakfast spot around the corner, our crew decided to skip breakfast and head to the beach. Don Vicente, the owner of Lili Café, was running errands and ran into us while we were waiting for our Uber. He said that he didn't know if we were hungry, but that he had a restaurant a block away that he'd love to invite us to.
We immediately said yes, and made our way to one of the best meals that we had in PR. We started off with a few complimentary shots of his house made sangria, then ordered some coconut and pineapple cocktails to keep the party going.
My husband and I split the shrimp mofongo and ceviche en aguacate. Both were incredible!
As amazing as the food is, the warmth that you feel from Don Vicente and his staff is truly what makes this place so special. I don't know when I'll be able to go back to PR, but I will definitely make sure to stop by Lili Café...

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Puerto Rico. We’ll...

The shrimp mofongo was succulent and delicious (we had the garlic sauce). The drinks were really good too, we had the sangria and a passion fruit mojito. The guy behind us had a fried pork chop and I’m sad I won’t get to try that before I have to go home.
Everything you’d want for quick bite, not pretentious and definitely not another tourist trap, the prices...
