Sol y Luna Apartments — Local services in San Juan

This place is a catfish! We stayed for nearly a week.

Upon arrival the location looks sketchy at night, don't be alarmed it just looks like that but you should exercise caution when driving to the location because the streets are narrow and speckled with potholes. Our rental car popped a tire near the vicinity (old San Juan) and had to swap it out for a new one. The apartment is not labeled clearly at the face of the building but once you closely look at it you can find the numbers written on a door with a sharpie.

We were in apartment 5 of the location. WORD OF CAUTION: all keys open all apartments. One of the guests had the opened our door by accident (I still don't believe him) thinking he was in the correct apartment (he claimed he was supposed to be in #2) however, our apartment was clearly labeled #5.

The room has a kitchen, restroom, and bedroom. The kitchen is fully furnished with knives, spatulas, and other cooking utensils. We bought groceries to make ourselves eggs and ham sandwiches and there were no problems besides getting your food to fit in the fridge. You can fit about 8 bottles of water in the fridge so you have to replace a cold bottle with a warm bottle in order to have a constant supply of cold water. Last time I remember there were a few spices to work with. The fridge has a weird smell. The pan had a lot of scratches which made the eggs stick to it.

The bedrooms are...adequate. you need to be mindful that this is an area with tropical climate so buy mosquito repellent. There should be a bottle in the kitchen/livingroom. The rooms need lots of work. Firstly, the rooms are dusty because the fans accumulate in their vents which fly out through the other end. I noticed that I had a cough after sleeping one night. The TV in my room had a dark spot near the bottom center if you care about that stuff. The floors are extremely dusty and wear sandals at ALL TIMES!

The restroom is very small; tall people be aware.

This place needs a lot of work but it has so much potential. I do recommend if the owner implemented the necessary changes and...

I had fun here it's so klose to the beach and nightlife. If I want a local experience then here is where u want to be... I hate feeling like a tourist so this was right on time I felt like I lived in san juan...

I stayed in apartment 4 for a few weeks. Absolutely loved it. Great hosts.
