PAZ by DW — Hotel in San Juan

We thought we had reserved our space at DreamCatcher but realized after attempting to check in it was off the property. When we emailed about the property they were quick to respond.

I will start with the stunning space. As my husband said it felt like a vacation. We didn't know what to expect but the suite was BEAUTIFUL! Outdoor showers are amazing. The bed was comfy and the amenities were just right in the AM.

When we arrived it was in an older neighborhood with its own charm. We were also told by our uber driver that a tourist was shot near by. We didn't feel unsafe but defiantly not a neighborhood to walk around in at night. We stayed all around the Island and this property and it's location was nothing compared to a property we stayed in Ponce.

This location is close to a lot of things. There is an amazing breakfast place and coffee joint closer to the beach. We wished we had more time to enjoy the amenities of the beach but it was our last day before leaving Puerto Rico. It was also the only location that charged to various amenities when it should have a beach umbrella to go with its beach chairs. But overall this a place you...

All these reviews were absolutely great which is why we decided to book it for my girlfriends birthday trip. The check in instructions said to leave one key behind and we followed instructions. While we were away one of the days someone came into the room and took one of our debit cards and some Jordan Retro 4s. When we called the front desk they said they were going to call the cops, we stayed in on a Friday night waiting for these cops to show up and they never did. We never got a call from the property manager and no one every took responsibility for the stolen property. There was no forced entry into the room so we could tell it wasn’t a random break in.

If you book with them do not leave that extra key behind, make sure you take both sets of keys and that you don’t leave any valuables behind. We tried to get this handled and see if they would take responsibility and refund us or pay for the property stolen but they wiped their hands of...

Great things: The room was large, clean, and aesthetically beautiful with high ceilings and all necessary amenities + a big comfortable bed. We loved all the little touches like beach chairs and towels, 2 outdoor rain showers, & candle gift. Responses from the company were very prompt even though we unfortunately weren’t able to check in early or book one of the excursion adventures. We were able to leave our luggage at the (even prettier!) Dreamcatcher location. Notes: when we got to the unit ~15 mins after checkin time, staff was still finishing cleaning the room. If I booked a second time, I’d pick one of their different locations as the block this unit is on was not as nice as others; there is a trash-filled vacant lot next door (that said; still walkable to the beach and once you’re inside the unit it’s great!). I recommend bringing an eye mask if light affects your sleep as there are not blackout curtains and there are 2 uncovered...
