Palmas El Rincón De Paco — Restaurant in San Juan

We had our family come eat here there was 12 of us. The server was great but it took a while to get our food which is expected we are on island time. My brother in law had to change his order 3 times because they were out of things. I had to cancel one of the items we order because they were out. They starting bring out the food some items at a time. I ordered the Pork chop that comes with rice and but never received the rice and beans until I was almost finished with my pork chop. My daughters order never came and everyone was almost done with the meals. So we told the server to just bring one order because everyone was almost done and at this point we started to share our meals with my daughters because they were hungry and weren’t going to eat both orders. I believe it was the manager or owner of the place and we explained to him what was going on and Being Very Rude he said you ordered it you have to pay for it. We said but we are going to be walking around San Juan and we were not going to be walking around with a doggy bag. So we just told them to give it to someone else and we will pay for it. So the cook came out with an attitude explaining to us very loud that they are short staffed and that she’s the only one cooking etc… avoid...

I can’t say enough good things about Palmas El Rincón De Paco! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The staff here is phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they care about making sure every guest has a great experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible! Everything we ordered was unbelievably fresh, from the appetizers to the main dishes. You can really taste the quality in every bite. It’s rare to find a place where the ingredients feel this fresh and well-prepared. Each dish was full of authentic flavor, cooked to perfection, and plated beautifully. You can tell a lot of love and effort goes into their cooking.

What really stood out was the attention to detail—not just in the food but in the overall experience. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold yet balanced, and everything came out at the perfect temperature. Even though the restaurant was busy, the service remained top-notch, and we never felt rushed...

I honestly don’t know how to start this review but let’s begin with “Kicked out because I didn’t like the food” YESSS you read right. Here in San Juan on vacation with my friend & we decided to come to this restaurant because she’s been before on previous travel. I order Tostones Spicy Crab and not only was the crab fake but they didn’t mention it on the menu. I got the food and still at it. But when it came to my main dish Sampler de Paco I substituted extra chicken because I don’t eat pork. My food came and it was very dry and distasteful. So I sent it back in hopes that I could replace it with another meal might I add everything is over $20 and we had already ran the tab $88.77 so I wanted more food. Literally the owner came to our table & asked what was wrong. I said my dislike he said “It’s nothing wrong with this food, you can’t order more get the check & leave” like he put us out I’VE NEVER IN MY LIFE had this happen to me. I’m disgusted. And honestly feel like our skin color had alot to do with it....
