RACISM AT IT'S FINEST...IF YOU ARE NOT LATIN, DO NOT GO! I'm 47 years old and was on a cruise. I looked this place up online and loved the ambiance so I decided to go with my wife and another couple. Just for reference, I've been smoking cigars for 15 years and keep at least 300-400 cigars in my personal humidor so I know cigars... and have been to many cigar lounges all over the world.
When we first walked in the place was very nice, large, clean and a pretty good selection. The humidor was locked so a young lady opened it for us to look at the cigar selection. I picked up 4 Liga Privada T52's to purchase and was instantly told I had to leave the humidor since I had a backpack?? Not only that, the older lady followed us around the entire place as though we were going to steal the cigars..Ok.. no problem..maybe they have experienced a lot of theft so I get it. I asked how much for a full case because in the US, they typically give a 10-15% discount when you buy a full case. When I asked for the case discount, the lady looked at me like I was an alien and said rudely, no discount. Ok.... No problem so I just purchased the 4 I had in my hand.
Next there was a 500 count humidor that was priced at $1200 and had been on display for over a year. I told the lady I would purchase for the $1200 if she included 5 cigars. The owner (short older lady) approached me, took the cigars i had, slammed the humidor shut and walked away from me (without saying a word) and sat back behind the counter. Standing there in shock, I looked at my wife like WTH!! Did she just do that?? I was so stunned but didn't respond because she didn't speak english. We just grabbed our things and left and they didn't care at all!
The vibe was off from the beginning but I overlooked it because my experience with the Puerto Rican people has always been great. However, I will never go back again! The service and the way they treat customers is horrendous! I observed many other clients with purses, backpacks, etc and nothing was said to them. You live and you learn but this is not the place I would spend my money. THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE...
