Sandbox — Restaurant in San Juan

Nice views onto the beach though some attitude from staff and they tried to charge me for an item I did not order. Unfortunately, I don’t think it was unintentional - probably expecting that I would not notice so it reeked of a lack of integrity esp when one woman waitstaff who didn’t even serve me tried to scold me that it was correct but it was not and put her in her place 🙄 honesty seemed racist like she expected she could talk to me in that tone because I’m a Chinese female and she prob didn’t even think I could speak English. So many people have no concept of the world because they are brainwashed by media and don’t think Asians live anywhere but China. And when they have to serve you they feel jealous and so many of restaurant staff think like you owe them money out of their own unhappiness prob wondering how you have money to dine alone as an Asian female since they have so much prejudice and ignorance and treat you with less than...

This is a busy little spot with a wait staff that is more than easy on the eyes. They are positioned on a busy strip right on a beautiful beachfront. The waves crashing onto the rocks in the background was added amazingly to the ambience.

Our waitress Nicole was a beautiful soul. The vibe here was great and even though we were underdressed coming from an excursion in bathing suits and cover ups we weren't made to feel out of place.

I ordered the chicken roll thinking these were like pizza rolls but this was actually a decent size wrap with french fries and it was pretty good. I dipped my roll in the hot sauce for added flavor.

The shots of Patron, well you can't mess up a shot, lol. The Long island seemed to be a bit watered down but the handmade Pina colada...

A great bar with an excellent view

kudos to the staff for it’s amazing service They are very friendly and nice to the customers. We ordered a dish ( ceviche)which was way too acidic and tangy, we sent it back the manager himself came and apologised to us. Also, I spilled my drink…the server served a new drink and did not charge us for it. Really surprised by their kind gesture.
