I stayed at the Caribe Hilton for a week. I am deathly allergic to dairy, and I had 2 awful encounters with the Barista Ashley who works there. The first time I ordered from her, I clarified 3x that I needed almond milk instead of milk, when I saw the whole milk on the screen I clarified again and she said yes almond milk. I then saw her take a hot cup when I ordered iced, and when I asked why there’s a hot cup she said she asked me if I wanted hot or iced when I said iced latte. I apologized and said iced. Immediately as I started drinking it, I felt my chest tighten. I brought it back to another barista and she said this is whole milk not almond. I went again the day after and ordered from a different barista. She wrote my order correct, however when I started to drink it I felt my chest tightening up again (my reaction to milk) and when I brought it down I asked the barista who took my order what happened and she said she didn’t make it. When I asked who, she said Ashley did (the same barista from the other day) what an awful experience. It’s like she’s doing it on purpose. Be weary if you order from here as I could have died if I continued to drink my lattes. They don’t take...
Read moreSo I will say, I understand that when you go to Starbucks at various "outposts", like in the Florida Keys, you get different (higher) pricing. Be that as it may, my regular drink was priced exactly as it normally is in the US. But they added $1.50 fees for oatmilk, and $1.50 for syrup. Now I didnt need the pinche oatmilk, or the syrup. If they had advised me ahead of time I would have nixed it. This is particularly bothersome because just a few weeks ago, the President of Starbucks announced they have stopped charging money for things like oatmilk. Moreover, I literally said "a splash of oatmilk". If an order of oatmilk is indeed deserving of an upcharge, I don't believe mine meets the threshold. Kind of like the way the police typically won't ticket you for going 3 or 4 MPH over the speed limit. Feel me? So yeah, my $5 drink became $8 for no good reason, because things are stupid in PR. So beware.
BTW if you stay here at a busy time, the Starbucks likewise gets busy af. Which means you're in everyone's face (or they're in yours), forcing you to...
Read moreI went to Starbucks caribe Hotel today at 10:50 am local time and asked for a medium size Iced latte SUPER light iced and lactose free I said and with bad face the cashier charged me 7 dollars, ( not cheap) . And the lady that made it, puts full ice and just a spash of milk so the coffee was not made how i requested. I then told her to please take some ice off and she started complaining and told me that it was going to remain just half of the amount of liquid so i asked her to obviously put more milk and she complained and complained. And told me that she would give me just a tiny bit in a mini cup. Is not the first time that this happens, i come to this hotel every week and the same workesrs unfortunately have the same attitude. I use Starbucks around the world and its pretty much everywhere a good service and standard product, not here i guess and very...
