Bottom line: incredibly disappointing experience service wise for what is supposed to be fine dining (or at least priced as such). Food is average, wine at least is priced well. Will not return. Gluten line: not only met with ignorance, but then with resistance (chef apparently could not be bothered to modify anything). Side note: we were a table of 4 physicians...and all speak spanish. Avoid unless coming only for wine and a steak. Long line: what was supposed to be an upscale dinner with friends turned into an outright struggle. When asked about gluten free options, the server was definitely caught of guard. He stated only the portobello main dish was gluten free, which made us think maybe he thought it was the same as vegetarian. We explained to him we just needed to make sure the food didn't come into contact with anything wheat, barley, malt, flour, etc. He almost had to be convinced to go ask the chef (who we expected to come describe what he could prepare, specially for a $$$$ restaurant, yet never came). He returned stating they could do the salmon, and that the stuffed mushroom appetizer could be done as well. Within 10 minutes, the manager finally shows and informs us that indeed the stuffed mushrooms are riddled with gluten, from the chorizo to the cheese. We inquire about having the truffle fries pan fried in fresh oil as we've had in other restaurants instead, only to be made to feel as if we've just requested their first born. They go back again to "see if the chef is willing" (lol) and tell they'll do it. Meanwhile, 3 of us share a 40z steak ($125), which was delicious. The carpaccio was nothing terribly special. The fries (when they finally came) were very truffly and crunchy. Overall, we spent a solid 45 minutes just trying to eat. We've had an easier time at smaller, cheaper, more tucked away restaurants all over Puerto Rico. We implored the manager to please educate his waiters about allergies and the upper ups to request having the menu at least appropriately labeled. We will for sure not return and I would recommend coming here for the quality of service and food for the prices.

Vin'us Is a great restaurant. Food is superb and the wine list is unbeatable. My previous experience was one of VIP customer. But as in all great places detail are of the essence to remain at the top of your line of work. At this level all the service needs to be top notch. This time around was a disaster and I want to be clear that I love this place, management take notice. I arrived after shopping around on a special day (Birthday), I had no reservation but was glad to make the waiting list of an hour declining to be seated outside right away because of the importance of the moment, that waiting hour ended up being one and a half hour.. I walked to the hostess and asked how far away I was from my turn on the list for a table for 4. She informed me my turn was the next table in turn so I waited at the door entrance for half an hour more to be called. While watching impatiently at my phone for the call, a miss call from the restaurant appeared in my phone pop-up notification, I called back and walked at the same time just inside the door and told the hostess I got your missed call and walked in exactly less than a minute ago. She informed me she called my phone and the call went directly to voice mail no effort was made to call again and she informed she gave my table to the people who were standing just next to me outside. She again offered me outside seating and I refused, waiting for an hour and a half and ending seated outside was not what I wanted for this occasion and selected to wait for the next indoor table availabe. After 30 minutes of waiting and due to complaints from my elderly mother in law I gave up and sat outside. No apologies or effort from the hostess to amend this situation was made to make me feel better and appreciated, so I swolow my disappointment and made the most of my dining experience. I don't think i can return or recommend this place at this moment.

Update 05/2025: I double down on my first review of this restaurant. Great service, excellent food and a cozy ambiance. I went the other day with my wife for our anniversary. Even though I arrived almost 30 minutes before closing the service was top notch, never rushing us in any way. This time I ordered 4oz of Japan Kobe A-5 ($25.99/oz). Expensive, but well worth it. Little juicy pieces of heaven. So creamy. I also ordered the 35-days dry aged 20oz NY. Absolutely great as well! I never eat rice with my steaks, ever. But this time I made an exception. Their criollo fried rice is so good. You have to tried. As a dessert I always order something that it is not easily available at any local restaurant, the Baked Alaska. The brownie they serve is so wicked good. Is it expensive, yes! Is it worth it, yes! Previous review - Excellent food, great service and good ambience. A little noisy but great overall experince. Steaks, appetizers and sides were delicious.

We went to that restaurant before the pandemic and we were always satisfied. We went twice since, one time in September and last night. We insist on eating outside. This is the second time we get the same server and he is terrible. Luckily there were other servers to help because he came very seldom to our table and last night he didn’t even asked us if we wanted dessert. His main concern is the tip, that he ask for and guest what we gave him..... instead we secretly gave another young helper a tip because he was very helpful. We had made a reservation a week in advance and they put us in a terrible uncomfortable place. We asked many time to change knowing that tables were available. Furthermore, we had ordered an entré and at the same time our dinner. Guess what, we got everything at the same time and that happened also in September.

And don’t even bother complaining to the manager, they don’t care. This is going to be our last time, at least till the end of the pandemic, and try again inside and maybe we can have good service. On thing for sure, I will make sure I do not get that server again.

The food is expensive but very good even if we asked for our steak medium but...
