Best ramen in East Bay! I ironically found this place when feeling sorry for myself that I moved away from Oakland where my old favorite ramen place is. I did a quick search to see what was in San Leandro and saw there was a new ramen place, and I’m so glad I tried it out, as it is my new favorite! The quality, quantity, and freshness of the food you will not find at this price anywhere else, as the owner does everything himself, so he can put his money into quality ingredients instead of hired help. This is some serious, no nonsense ramen. (The owner has that demeanor as well!) I come here by myself as part of my self care routine so I can really focus on the food and eat each delicious bite mindfully. It reminds me of the ramen I ate in Tokyo when I visited. This isn’t a place you will get fancy ambiance, but if you just want good food, it’s definitely worth checking out and making a staple for when you get those ramen cravings! Very thankful to have authentic ramen in...
Read moreA hidden gem of San Leandro! My wife came across a subreddit talking about this place. We were watching NHK and people serving ramen and champon in a small "yatai" (shop stand) and we decided to order. Their menu selection is minimal but the food is amazing! The generous serving and good quality food is topnotch. We had the spicy tonkotsu ramen, black tonkotsu ramen and the chicken katsu. We were so stuffed. The following day we ordered again and had the seafood champon as I was curious if this soup is similar with Korean jjampong. I love the wok taste of the veggies and the broth is rich. If you are looking for an affordable yet great Japanese food, this is the place to go. I highly recommend!

Read moreThis is the best ramen in the San Leandro Hayward area, in my opinion. It is authentic Japanese ramen, made by real Japanese chef, not by Chinese or Mexican. The broth and ramen are what separates from this place to other restaurants. The broth is creamy and smooth but not oily. Left it overnight. There's hardly any oil sitting on the top. The broth is not filling like other places. The noodles are springy and bouncy. The egg is perfectly cooked with the yolk runny inside. Although the owner is the only person who works and manages the place. It has a kiosk to take order, and the food is prepared relatively fast. He is very generous, and every time I go with my kids, he always gives us some appetizers for free. I really appreciate the food...
