July 2024: Returned to try lunch! Burger and fries are just okay, but honestly, for less than $10, I am perfectly fine with just okay. Maybe I'd go with a local burger stand instead, but it's fun to drop in here just for the atmosphere. Breakfast is definitely better, though. --------- OMG this place is adorable. It looks like it's passed through time back to the 1970s, and it's such a tiny diner! I need to go back just for a picture alone of the interior, but the food was good enough that I want to try lunch, too. Service was efficient and welcoming, and those menu prices have not seen an update in years, either, praise the lord. Had a Denver omelette (I think), but I asked for bacon instead of ham - no problem at all with that substitution. I'm going to ask for the bacon crispy next time, but the omelette was otherwise great. I kind of love that they only do American cheese here. Would I have liked more options than wheat bread with barely any butter? YES (I should have added some jam). But this place has caught my fancy, for sure.

We just had breakfast at the Cozy Kitchen coffee shop - in a little stripmall at the corner of Washington & Bradick in San Leandro. It's a tiny classic diner, serving basic breakfasts at the most reasonable prices around. Been around forever, run by the same little couple (ever since our friend was a boy & ate here with his family). Husband cooks. Wife runs tables. Well-worn furnishings from decades of diners make it feel like a step back in time. It is the CLEANEST restaurant I've EVER been in - evidence of pride/care/lifelong work ethic. There's nothing fancy on the menu, but if you're looking for bacon & eggs on a budget around Oakland, CA - this is the place. Period. Come support these folks!

I had a great experience here this morning on 6/17/2025. Me and my trainer wanted to eat breakfast and we had a delivery next door on dollar tree, so we went in, we were warmly greeted. Had our menus within a couple minutes, and when we ordered our breakfast was made to order. Haven’t had a great experience at any other breakfast place like this one. I suggest you come here and try there bacon eggs and toast, sunny side up. With a side of pancakes. Wash it down with a cup of Joe! Hopefully you can have a similar experience as I did

Stopped to this place today and the lady was so unfriendly. Waited my friend when she came the woman never say hi despite my friend said hi to her. Was seating first seat right hand by the door and it was too sunny my friend said let’s move to another seat. After we moved the lady didn’t say anything just came grabbed the spoon and forks where we moved and gets old spoon from the first place I was seating and give to us. I didn’t mind it ,but my friend thought that was not friendly and too unprofessional. And it hit me real bad after a while then thought was not deserved that kind of treatment. Bad experience will never step in my...
