Metro Taquero — Restaurant in San Leandro

This place is great. I have been here about 8 times since I found this spot. It's a taqueria, not a full-blown restaurant, so know what to expect.

What they do they do exceptionally well. I will focus on tacos. I have had their tacos de Carne asada, Carnitas, Pollo Asado, and Al Pastor.

Where I think they excell is on their Carne Asada and their Pollo Asado. The carne asada is fresh, grilled, not dry, quality cuts, and a healthy serving per taco. The pollo asado is also grilled, fresh, moist, quality cuts with a healthy serving per taco. Both are simply seasoned with salt. They garnish their tacos with cilantro and onion. They use yellow corn tortillas, which have a great corn flavor, don't fall apart easily, and add depth of character to the tacos.

If you order 2 or more tacos, you can make it a plate and add Mexican rice and beans. For beans, you can choose from black beans, pinto beans, or refried beans topped with cheese. The rice is flavorful and moist. The beans are creamy and tasty (I have tried all).

The Carnitas are moist and not salty. The Pastor is the kind with pineapple and is on the sweeter side. Both are good. None of the food I have had is salty.

Their sign says that they were open till 11 pm. Thecashier was super rude. There was a couple waiting fortheir food when I walked in. The cashier called them to pick up their food. The lady politely said it's for here, to which the cashier yelled at them. Well, We are about toclose, you have to take it TO GO (mind you they stillhad 45 mins until closing), then the woman said okay,then she asked her for some mayo to go, to which thecashier yelled at her again, We don't do mayo to go. Puedo entender que una empresa como una taqueria se compone de buenos y malos trabajadores pero mi experiencia no bueno nada buena con esta taqueria e invito a todos los clientes potencialmente nuevos que se puedan tomar su tiempo en poder ordenar ya que el menu no es claro y tampoco el producto en este caso ordene una quesadilla regular (en cualquier otro lugar de azada me la sirven con un poco más de cariño al producto con su ensalada a donde el cliente ve y se le pueda antojar comer la quesadilla y lo que recibí fue una quesadilla sin carne ni un poco de ensalada sin salsa y sin ningún condimento rábanos y un poco de jalapeño pero el problema fue cuando regrese a decirle que la quesadilla no era lo que ordenamos y hablando con el personal llegó el cocinero y se puso a decir que tenía que pagar más por que nosotros los latimos siempre queremos regalado y al parecer el no entendió que yo estaba dispuesto a pagar por algo bien hecho y que me gustara que pudiera comer con gusto pero no fue así y me hizo enojar y saqué mi cartera y le pagué 20 dls más $8.77 en total fueron $28.77 por una quesadilla que pareciera que fue hecha con loa pies ya que no era nada parecido a las expectativas de lo que dicen en las reseñas por eso invito a que tenga mucho cuidado ya que terminarás pagando más por algo que no te gustara y los empleados son muy fríos sin amor a su trabajo ahora entiendo cómo un lugar puede ser buena la comida pero por malos empleados y servicio un lugar puede caer aún teniendo la mejor comida invito al dueño que pueda dar un buen servicio ya que fue mi primera visita a la taqueria y no me gustaría tener que pagar por algo que no no me gustara también tengo pruebas de lo que estoy hablado tome fotos (LA QUESADILLA MÁS CARA EN MUCHOS AÑOS DE CONOCER TODAS...
