Poke Kitchen — Restaurant in San Leandro

Went to check out this place after seeing great reviews. Pulled up and wasn't impressed by the exterior or neighborhood, and nothing too fancy inside. However, the woman who took our order and helped us was so sweet! They were very busy (I think a huge online order came in before we got there), so they were a little frazzled, but we still did not feel pressured or rushed.

We looked at the menu and were shocked at the prices - they are very competitive. We ordered a spicy tuna and lion king roll and a seaweed salad. The flavors on these rolls were amazing! The spicy tuna had the perfect amount of spice! One of the best I've had in the area. We gobbled it up with no left overs and washed it down with a yummy thai iced tea.

Will definitely return to this hole-in-the-wall spot when I'm back in the area... I'm looking forward to trying...

Amazing food. Best food option around and way more flavorful and bigger portions than chipotle if you go with their massive "Signature Bowl" loaded to the top. You can put salmon (sushi or baked both options available), fresh ahi tuna poke, shrimp, etc. I recommend going half/half with the fresh salad greens and rice as it makes the flavor even better. Mango, pineapple, avocado included on this Signature Bowl are so natural and the flavors are definitely very high quality. The Ownership here is very experienced and competent when it comes to giving customers a meal filled with powerful nutrients and vitamins and also providing a big portion at a good price. If you don't like spicy food then go with mild and it will be great. Choose all for the veggie options that are...

If you love good sushi at an affordable (less than most places here) then you've got to try them! Beautiful, flavorful, high quality fish and the rolls are well done, sizable and the rice is delish!

We also love their poke bowls!

We used to go to Fat Fish but their sushi is sloppy and not great quality, cheap cuts of fish (thin/awkward cuts), thrown together to barely hold together. They do have a bigger selection. Their prices are the same as Poke Kitchen so no we have no reason to go there instead...and with Poke Kitchen, you get better quality for the same price!

I'm looking forward to when the owners add a few more rolls to the list!
