This is my second time visiting this place, Our boss(Safeway Bakery Specialist) organize lunch for all of us (safeway bakery managers oakland area) at the end of the year wich is so nice of her.. I wasn't planning to order anything because I was the last person Arriving and everybody was already eating, however, my boss insisted and I decided to order something. I finally ordered a strawberry virgin mojito and then I asked for a chicken fajita plate. 15min later the server showed up with a regular virgin mojito and i said That's not mine. I ordered a strawberry mojito virgin. The person who brought the drink was a different person so in front of me he asked what did i order. He had the courage to say I didn't order a strawberry mojito virgin, so he meant I lied. I don't need to lie about something like that. I wasn't even paying for my stuff. I had no reason to make a fuss out of nowhere for nothing. So i still stayed calm and replied to the person in the bar, sr. I did tell you how I wanted my drink. He was so rude and sarcastic and said NO YOU DIDN'T TELL ME THAT! I smiled and was like "OK forget it " let me have water please. I got my water. Then the server came and told me "im sorry but my mistake we added steak to your chicken fajitas" would you like to wait while we make it again or do you want to take it like that? I said I will take it, that's not a problem. So I started eating and when I tasted the steak omg,i was already bad.. not hard, not under or over cooked. It seemed like a meat that you have cooked for days that look good but when you try it it has already turned bad.. So I asked a friend to please taste it because maybe it was me who wasn't having it and maybe I was going crazy lol So when she tasted it she looked at me and said girl please don't eat it. I called the server and asked him (I don't know if it was mean from me) could you please taste the steak? He did and he was like "oh its good" I asked him because I didn't want to nobody to look at me crazy thinking how picky I was. I really didn't mean to be picky but it's my body and I'm taking medication prescribed for my Specialist and he was specific about what I eat, if I don't take care of myself no one will! I ended up having a side of rice as lunch and water. Would never come back. If you did read to the end I hope you have a better...
Read moreThis place was a pleasant surprise. I've passed it many times and finally decided to try it out with my wife and it was much better than we expected.
The service was top notch. All staff members were attentive, they checked in regularly to see how things were going and made some good recommendations on the food choices. We had a couple of margaritas (which were solid), I tried the tequila burrito with carne asada and my wife got the combination fajitas. When the server described the burrito, I wasn't sold, but I am glad I tried it, delicious. My wife enjoyed the fajitas as well, she admitted they weren't the best combo fajitas that she's had in San Leandro, but she was not disappointed with her choice.
The only thing that threw us was the ambiance. We loved the vibe by the bar it was warm and inviting, but the other half of the restaurant has white lighting which contrasts and gives more of a colder/plain vibe. It was my first time seeing dual lighting in the same space, but it is what it is. I'd still come back (to the warm side by the bar).

Read moreThis restaurant is under new management, the menu is not even close to what it used to be. Everything I asked about, they said they couldn't do - even making a small bean burrito for my 1 year old.
I asked for shredded chicken, they can't do that, I asked for a strawberry daiquiri, they can't do that, I asked for a bean burrito, they can't do that. Literally, everything I asked for that they used to do, they won't do now.
I ended up with a taco sald, it was a weird taco salad that was more like a garden salad with some beans and rice thrown in. Our friend had fajitas, he said they were not good and my husband had the tacos that he said were not good and didn't even finish half of them.
They also want $12 for a small drink! This is the outskirts of downtown San leandro, not San Francisco or a fancy gastropub.
I'm only giving two stars because the server was nice and he did an extra wash on the...
