Was in the area and wanted to check out the local game stores. On maps it says they open at 2, on the website it said 12. I showed up at 3 and the door was chained shut and no signs on doors or on social medias explaining why this would be. I ended up walking by again at 3:30 and suddenly the door was unlocked. Their was an employee in the back sitting on a chair just watching TV and later a new employee came and went behind the counter. He explained the owner was the man in the back on the chair to me. Someone else came in for some trade ins and the man on the chair told him he couldn't do it because they needed the owner there? So either he lied to him or I was lied to. Regardless doesn't matter, but strange. The actual game and collectibles selection was actually really good hence why this isn't 1 star. However everything was either very expensive or unpriced. Several games I asked for a price check and I never got an answer as they had to text some unknown 3rd party. They did try and price it themselves by going off current eBay listings (not the sold listings). After all of this I'd also found a half bottle of whiskey, a used deodorant stick, and a bottle of orange juice just around the shop. Their was also several planks of wood blocking cabinets and stacks of boxes obstructing paths. Overall displeased in the set up, service, prices, cleanliness. I hope that this place changes so the area can have a nice retro game...
Read moreThis review is for their controller repair. I needed the stick drift on my PS5 controller fixed. Called them up and they said they could fix it same day. I dropped it off, they were super friendly and seemed confident in their ability to fix the problem. $35 and a few hours later I got a call that it was ready. Their service was fast and they even had a drift reader to show me that the stick was working properly.
Itâs been about a week since picking it up and the stick is still going strong. I have heavy hands when I play shooters so my sticks get a lot of punishment, and if itâs working after week of solid play, Iâm sold. These guys know what theyâre doing. Highly recommend their service. Save yourself the $75 for a new controller and spend $35 to have it repaired by Super Savage...
Read morePart museum, part cultural retrospective, part store. The Toy Shop / Super Savage Games is a local favorite. I try to stop in every time Iâm downtown just to see what Eduardo and his friends have tracked down. Need a gift for someone whoâs tough to shop for? This place is packed to the brim with vintage and retro treasures you canât just order from Amazon. They are knowledgeable and happy to help you find just the right thing even if you donât know as much about toys and games as the person youâre shopping for. Prices are surprisingly good! My most recent score is an Ocarina of Time edition Nintendo 2DS that is still complete in box. Where do they find this stuff! Thanks for adding a little magic to downtown...
