Laguna Grill — Restaurant in San Luis Obispo

Ambiance that is typical of a sports bar. They had loads of tv screens and jerseys etc. The food is not really the first reason you'd come here but if you came for sports or to drink a lot, the food isn't bad. Maybe a little pricey for what they serve. Also, I wasn't aware that you should order at a walk up order station. After following the instructions on the sign to seat ourselves, it must have become aware to someone that we didn't know where to order. Someone came up to ask what we wanted, seemed like she assumed we knew what we were doing, and told her we didn't have menus. So she left for another 3 or 4 minutes (so maybe 15 mins since we sat down) and she came back with menus. Service was fine after that but maybe there should be menus that say to take one and order the window. Just thought it was a different type of place than it was. Overall, the place has its purpose and it probably does well at performing, just my idea of what happens at restaurants where you sit down wasn't...

Come here often and is a great location. On weekends you get seated and have a server. During the week you oder at counter. We went on a Saturday and got seated. They got busy and forgot about us. We ordered at the counter. They were very apologetic and gave us a big discount. We got the hot Italian sandwich. It has salami,pepperoni, ham, spinach, tomatoes, red onions, pepperoncini, basil pesto, jack cheese. So good, must try. We also got the Asian salad. It comes with your choice if protein, mandarin oranges, red onions, wonton strips,edamame, carrots, almonds and teriyaki sauce. My wife said it's one of the best salads she's had. There are tvs throughout the restaurant. They had football, rodeo, golf, baseball etc. There is a lot going on but the surroundings but it's quiet so you can have a conversation. It might have just been the time of the day, however the look of the facilities tells me otherwise. There was a layer of dust on every surface in the women's restroom. The staff aside from the person cooking were lounging around on their phones or just standing there talking with each other. This to me is tragic because the place looks like if some actual time was spent being busy instead of standing around could actually be Poppin. We had to go get our food at the counter and they said our number over a loud speaker yet it was basically dead silent in the restaurant. The food was amazing. The poor cook doesn't have half the help he needs. This to me makes the overall experience a three. I really hope it...
