I am a big fan of Round Table Pizza, but I recently had such a bad experience at the Round Table in SLO that I don't know if I will ever go back. It was dine-in and I was berated by an employee for having bad hearing I guess. I ordered a salad and the employee asked if I wanted it with a drink for $9.99 I said no since I had just bought myself an iced tea. But my daughter said Mom it is all you can eat so I requested that salad after all. The employee proceeded and started telling me over and over again and again that HE TOLD ME “THAT THE SALAD WAS ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!” He was so loud and disrespectful that I apologized for not hearing right, but he continued to say it louder and louder I should have left, but I love RT Pizza and stayed despite his horrible behavior. On 12/26/23 I ordered a meal for my family and we encountered a sanitation issue with the quality of the pizza. Needless to say everyone’s appetite was ruined and a major fail for family pizza movie night. I was pretty upset that night as I really had high hopes having grown up with Round Table Pizza as a kid.
Update 1/1/24 - I originally put a 1 star for what happened on 12/26/23. Since that time the management at Round Table Pizza reached out to me (Jennifer) and refunded my order but she also offered to personally remake the entire meal on the house and was very apologetic. I recently dined at the newly opened Round Table Pizza in San Luis Obispo and I was thoroughly impressed! The pizza was delicious with a perfectly crispy crust, fresh toppings, and gooey cheese. The menu also offered appetizers, salads, and desserts, with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance was cozy and family-friendly.
