Arby's — Restaurant in San Marcos

If you ever want to know how clean a restaurant kitchen is, pay attention to their restrooms and open dining area. It speaks volumes. This Arby’s has a spotless dining area and from the counter you can see the open kitchen area and how clean it is. That is an awesome first impression.

I’ve been through the drive thru as well as inside the restaurant. The drive thru was quick and efficient, the associate at the window was friendly and helpful in getting my order precise. Going indoors, I noted the cleanliness and was quickly greeted at the counter to place my order. After a long day at work and an appetite, I really appreciated that.

If you haven’t tried their King’s Hawaiian Deluxe Fish Sandwich yet, what are you waiting for? I thought the Money Pit had the best fish sandwich in Southern California, but today I stand corrected. After my first bite into this sandwich, I couldn’t stop biting. There was a party taking place in my mouth and I found that I was tapping my toes. It was almost a dance. That’s how good this sandwich is. The sweetness of the toasted King’s Hawaiian bun, the shredded lettuce, tomato and Tatar sauce all complimented the thick fish filet that could be an entree all by itself earned this review. Yes, this is hands down the best fish sandwich I have ever had. It was accented by quick and quality customer service that perfected my visit and meal experience.

Skip McDonald’s and their pathetic option and get a real fish sandwich. Visit this Arby’s on San Marcos Blvd just down the street from Firestone and you will want to write your own review. Love Arby's and it's not around the corner from me so when I go I'd like to have the order right. First off the line to order went down the street. Today we went and specifically asked for 4 beef and cheddar on sesame seed buns. 2 with sauce and 2 without sauce. Ordering you could tell the girl couldn't grasp what we were asking for so slowly we said it over and over. Now I could see why the cars were ridiculously long. Went over the order like 3 times with her. Got to window and a girl read my order. When giving it we asked if they're labeled special. She said yes. We asked are you sure 2 are without sauce. She asked is to hold while she confirmed there were. We pulled away and drove all the way home. And guess what? ALL 4 WERE THE SAME. ALL WITH SAUCE!!!!! I called and complained to Mgr. He said it was the girls first day. I get its her first day but......you don't give someone the reins if they don't know what their fully doing. Need someone there to double check the order. I use to work drive thru at a Arby's and we always had someone there to back the Newby up. And when cars were getting out of hand someone else takes over till it slows down. DUHHHHHH. Experience of 14-Jan-2020 I have enjoyed Arby’s Potato Cakes for over 30-years. When there weren’t any places that offered a beef sandwich, there Roast Beef with mayonnaise with an order of Potato Cakes.

I hadn’t been to Arby’s for the last few years. When an Arby’s coupon flyer arrived in the mail showing a deal of $6.79 for two crispy chicken sandwiches, I decided it was time to get another order of Potato Cakes and a couple of Chicken sandwiches.

When I ordered the Potato Cakes, I discovered they offered three pairing sizes (2, 3 and 4). I had always gotten ordered two-potato cakes before. Hearing 4 Potato Cakes would be available for $3.09; I said, “Make it so!” Wait time was about 15-minutes before the order was in a travel bag.

The Chicken Sandwiches unwrapped at my home were not warmer than the plate or my room. Each bite of the chicken was tough to chew, and unusually dry. My trip from Arby’s to my table didn’t take more than 10-minutes. Not enough for the sandwiches to not be more than room temperature. Potato Cakes were perfect and stopped me from going back to complain.
