If I could give this motel negative stars, I absolutely would. Normally, they charge $100 cash deposit, I told them I could not pay the hundred dollar deposit because I didn’t have any cash and I told them I would go find somewhere else to stay and the men very quickly rushed me back in and told me that I could pay $109 plus tax which came out to $136.85 with no deposit something tells me they don’t get a whole lot of business, after staying there I see why they waived it because I’m pretty sure they knew exactly what we were about to walk in on. Let me explain, we didn’t notice anything was a mess until we get back from dinner. We got a smoking room so the burn holes in the blankets and the cigarette smoke smell wasn’t a huge deal at all. We walk in and we turn on all the lights after dinner just to find that the room looks like it had been frozen in time after a poor cleanup of a brutal assault or even possibly a murder. There were blood stains on the walls, especially behind the front door and on the dresser by the front door there were stab marks and slice marks from knives on the wall. There was also a bullet hole with paper shoved into it right above the bed. In addition to all that the bathroom door looks like it had been previously kicked in and looks like somebody hit the tile in the bathroom floor pretty hard. My boyfriend and I were too scared to sleep in the bed and we didn’t even wanna shower in that shower so we didn’t. Having no other place to go that we could afford, we had to stay. I called this evening to explain all of this to the manager, and he blows me off and tells me that the room was a mess when we left, which it wasn’t, we cleaned up we even went out of our way to take the trash all the way out to the dumpster so that the housekeeping did not have to do it. On top of all this, the people which normally magnifies outward so that you can see the parking lot was reversed so if you looked in from the outside, you can see every little thing going on in that room. I cannot stress this enough. Do not stay at the White rock Inn. It’s not worth your safety, your peace of mind, or the money in your wallet. Below I have added some pictures for your viewing...
Read moreWhere to start… Receptionist is rude. Obviously doesn’t feel like working and lazy. Deep is his name, he isn’t a manager and doesn’t care about customer satisfaction. When asked for WiFi password and none of our devices could connect, I called the front desk (again, Deep) with a phone that was sticky and obviously not cleaned, only to have Mr. Deep tell me he will assist connecting only ONE of the devices to their WiFi and I would have to deal with the other ones that won’t connect. We are three guests in the room and none can connect. We pay for all three guests but only one is “eligible” for assistance per Deep. My mother who is very sensitive to cold needed another blanket, Deep complained about us asking for an additional blanket for her. The bedsheets are dirty. The room is filthy and doubtfully cleaned properly in months if not longer. Furniture is broken. I am disgusted to bathe in the shower, I’ll probably come out dirtier than before. Carpet, chairs, size able are dirty with crumbs. Does not seem like this room was cleaned before we got it. Deep would not replace it saying he doesn’t have any other available rooms. Just as an another annoyance the pool is empty and cannot be used on one of the hottest days of the year.
And this “lovely” experience cost us only $131.10 (!!). I regret paying in cash, if I paid with a card I’d be contacting management and demand a refund.
Don’t come here unless it’s sleeping in your car and by all means, DO NOT PAY THIS MUCH!! It’s not worth it. After traveling a lot and staying at many motels, this one isn’t worth more than $40 a night. And bring your own vacuum cleaner and ultra violet light to check and clean dirt....
Read moreso pretty much like everybody else on here has stated, The showers do not work and the bathtub is disgusting. luckily the ice machine doesn’t work so you can just use your ice bucket to fill up with water from the bath and take a shower that way. ice machines at cheap hotels are like McDonald’s ice cream machines, they’re always broken. I just moved to San Marcus about a month ago and have been struggling to find a place to live so I was happy with the fact that it had a bed and a TV with decent choice of channels with really cold AC. it was better than sleeping in my car. I have ran into a few bugs now and there is stuff all over the walls. in Houston a hotel like this would cost about $30 a night this one’s more like 50 and it’s not worth it. i’m glad that I have it but I just cannot recommend it to anybody. motel 6 is like two dollars cheaper and I don’t know why I didn’t go with that one despite not having a microwave, refrigerator, and an ironing board like this one does. The only reason why I’m not giving this one star it’s because like I said I’ve been sleeping in my car and then going to work 12 hours so this was actually very relaxing for me but if you’re not in the same situation then stay away...
