As a 21 year old college student I have been in enough Starbucks’ to set me for life at this point, but I have never had an experience like today when I visited this one in San Marcos. I came in fairly early with no one in the space yet, sat my school work on one of the tables and walked up to the counter to order my usual, and heated brownie and a cup of tea for here. The guy behind the counter was younger but still sweet took my order and I sat down. Well not 2 mins later a girl with dark curly hair and extreme attitude threw my unheated brownie on the counter and said Natalee. Well I picked it up and ignored the other two baristas laughing at my name while I asked her if she could hear it up. You could see that I visibly annoyed her as she snatched it out of my hand and threw it into the heater. She couldn’t even be bothered to call my name out again and instead had the original guy who took my order hand it to me. So I sit back down and I have now been here for five or take 7 mins and haven’t received my tea yet. This heavier set woman in normal clothes then comes waddling through the door and received the only greet as a customer from the staff. She then proceeded to toss a thing of lids behind the counter and make her way into the back (still wearing her civilian clothes if you will) then two mins later comes out of the back with a thing of frosted cupcakes. I wonder if they know storing food product other than that sold by the establishment is against Texas state health code? Anyways, I have now been sitting with no tea for 15 mins when I finally walked up to the counter and stood there for another 4 mins waiting for someone realize that a customer was standing there. While waiting though I observed the same girl with the dark curly hair and an attitude frantically unwrapping croissants and tossing them on the counter. Mind you not really caring where they land and then adjust them on the sheet WITH HER BARE HAND and half heartedly throwing them into the heater. Oh my god at this point I just want to throw up. However I finally flagged down a man who assisted me to get my tea which “he forgot”.
I am appalled. I was just visiting San Marcos but trust me your corporate offices and every Texas state student will be hearing from me. This...
Read moreI went in to pick up an order between 7pm-8pm on January 1. When I walked in one of the three ladies working approached me and just threw her hands around asking with an attitude whether I was going to order or what was I doing. At first I was very confused and just said oh I’m sorry and simply told her I was only there to pick up an order.
I realized that I had placed an incorrect order for someone so instead of getting a refund, I went back in to just order the correct one that they wanted. When I walked in the same women walked up to me and didn’t say anything I just told her what I was wanting except this one was iced. With an attitude she said, you just ordered that but whatever, very rudely. I told her what is your problem. This was the second time I walked in and she had a bad attitude from the very beginning. Another women wearing a beanie and glasses approached me and was trying to figure out the issue. I told her what the issue was and she did nothing to help but just said, I don’t think she meant to be rude… seriously?? This woman wasn’t even near when the other women approached me, how would she know? I tried explaining to her further my experience from the very beginning walking in and she completely ignored me and just asked whether I was going to order or not. When I was ordering with her I tried once again to explain to her what happened, she ignored me again and walked away. I seriously thought it was a joke like wth is happening here. I usually have good experience at this location when going through the drive through but this time was SO much different! Upon walking in I just felt like the vibe was completely off. Worst experience and location I’ve ever been to by far. Those women probably shouldn’t be working there either based off my own experience because the way I was treated and the way the other woman “attempted” to handle it…...
Read moreI am a frequent Starbucks customer, and to this day, I have always had good experiences ordering beverages at their stores. However, today, at approximately 5:20 a.m., I had a very unpleasant experience at their branch located at [store address or location].
When I was placing my order, the employee taking the order started laughing at my English. I had to repeat my order three times, and each time I noticed mockery. Then, another employee also laughed at me and asked me again what I wanted to order. When I was finally able to give my order for the fourth time, she also mocked my pronunciation. I felt humiliated, embarrassed, and felt like I was being discriminated against for not speaking English perfectly.
I consider this type of behavior not only unprofessional but also a form of language discrimination, as I was treated disrespectfully simply for having an accent or making mistakes when speaking English.
I ask that you investigate this incident and take the necessary steps to ensure no other customer has to go through a similar experience. As a customer, I deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of my language or accent.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to...
