Valentino's — Restaurant in San Marcos

I have never experienced such horrible service here. I came in around 10PM & sat at the bar. I waited for 5 minutes & not one of the two bartenders came to me, I figured okay maybe they are busy. I am in the service industry so I know how it is. My friend couldn’t find the restaurant so I stepped outside & we then both sat at the bar once again. Nobody came up to us for 10 minutes. No menus, no “one second i’ll be right with you”, no type of acknowledgement whatsoever. One bartender was making drinks & the other bartender was eating pizza in the corner. She comes to the middle & I ask “hi can i please order?” She then proceeds to look at me, give me a fake smile, then walks off. She takes a couple minutes to come back to me & I order quickly. I ordered two shots, pizza, & a drink. No customer service was given, she seemed like she was annoyed I was there. I figured okay she was maybe having a bad day, again, I’m in the service industry so I get it. Pizza didn’t take that long. Shots took about 5 minutes. I’m eating, a couple next to me sits at the bar, she immediately greets them with a smile, gives them menus, & makes their drinks immediately. Now I’m like okay, now that’s disappointing. We were nothing but respectful , there was nothing we did that warranted that type of service. I then ask for my check, she takes her time once again, & no customer service, no smile anything. The other bartender never acknowledged us. Me & my friend are in our early 20’s, I understand sometimes our age group can be annoying or possibly don’t tip well, but the service was genuinely horrible & I believe it was because of our age, because when the older couple sat down the customer service was 10x better than with us. I usually tip at least 25% but yesterday I couldn’t bring myself to. I understand the service industry is hard, everyone has bad days, but at the end of the day it’s a job & you have to treat everyone that comes through that door with respect, no matter...

(This has been submitted / revised for second time ......recently because of further negative feedback....concerning delivery service....etc. ;) -Plus almost forgot....Mgmt. keeps changing- ...As of last night my thoughts of "service" at Valentino's was above average....?! ;(

...After calling and placing an order for delivery about 1930hrs.(More/Less?)...was told it would take 40-50 min. etc... I said okay fine... then few min. later get a call from young lady asking to verify credit card once more...okay then I get another call(#2) saying card didn't go threw so I suggested to use another...etc. Then I thought wait run the numbers by me again to see if she had right numbers...etc.? She found her mistake and DID apologize then (made me wonder if she made similar mistake with prev. card...?)...then I said thanx and after having verified the order hung up...;) Finally I called at approx. 2130 hrs. to get an update .... and was told they couldn't find the address...and I ask what address they had and it was incorrect which I was somewhat upset...(even-though they tried to contact me again more than once.)...;( Finally the order came at about 2230 hrs...and told delivery person if I had known it would take THIS long I would have cancelled my order I'M SURE... -END STORY- ;( -PS( Suggestion: WHY NOT Keep data base of your "regulars" address and this might help prevent such problems in the future...

Ok! We came out of town we decided to all try this place. Small inside. Pretty nice inside. Middle of down town. Peperoni Pizza great hot wingz were definitely hot! Good flavor. I love a cold salad and it was cold ceaser salad! Cheese stick were also great. Over all food was GREAT give it a 8. Service.... absolutely horrible! 4 people at the bar. Has 5 6 person tables or so and a few 2 person tables. Waitress got our drinks and never came back we had to wait for her to serve other tables, drink her drink, check her phone lollygag around and 2 other tables that came in after us got their food and drinks before we did before we finally waved her down to take our order. I made the whole order since we didn't have time on our end to enjoy an appetizer and our main food. It all came out pretty quick. Later down our time of eating She ask to refill a water for my child... she never brought the water back again we had to wave her down to bring it again. Not a place I want to return or to recommend just because the service isn't great. 1. I did notice she was the ONLY waitress serving. Megan is the waitress she either can't waitress well or she was to busy. I would recommend...
