Axis — Restaurant in San Marcos

I came in to purchase a to-go order at Jam Burger. At 9:35 pm on 3-26-24. I was welcomed at the door by a very nice young man asking for my ID. He was then interrupted by a man sitting at the bar saying oh no no no you don't need to check her ID as if I am so unbelievably old that I don't need my ID checked. I'm only in my 30s. I then asked if the Jam burger staff were around? The man at the bar setting down again rudly cut into the conversation and told me we have no association with them as if I should just go away and stop talking to them. I then mentioned parking since I could not find anywhere to park and he was also very rude about that even tho it mentioned in the add that they offered curbside for merchants to pickup to-go orders. I felt very uncomfortable. Mind you at this time the bar was completely dead I only saw two patrons at a table. So it's not like they were to busy to speak to me. Not a good look for the bar and really bad news for people wanting to purchase food from Jam Burger. I left feeling extremely unwelcome. Everyone should be treated with respect I 100% do not feel like I was respected whatsoever. I will not be returning or recommending anyone. And it's unfortunate because all of the other staff I interacted with were kind. He completely ruined...

I have never commented or “reviewed” on a place in my life until today. But whatever you do don’t go and karaoke unless you want to be discriminated by one of the djs or have another dj staring at you and your group like a creep. Sadly I’ve heard too many great things about this place to get the treatment that our bachelorette group had gotten. Also talked to the “supposed to be manager of the “night”” about everything going on and honestly seemed like it went in one ear and out the other ear with no concern what so ever. Oh and the djs made sure to put their self first and karaoke before letting anyone else just to add on to everything. I will NEVER return to this place.

The staff is Amazing. I own a 5 star business in San Antonio. And this is a 5 star Spot !!!! Aubrey - Connor - Chandler- and all the bar - Cooks - bouncers - all staff is so friendly and on top of it. The bouncers keep everyone safe. I visited for a month in may . Decided to go by last night and they were excited to see me am- we all shared pizza the first day I came I. I splurged and bought us all some pizza. They made me feel amazing to see the excitement when I came in. Aubrey was a super bar tender and loves pizza and wings. But now she is the manager - I’m super excited for her. She deserves it.
