Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in San Mateo

I been a Chipotle Client even before any San Mateo locations, I use to drive to Millbrae, was so happy when the finally open close by, I been to the foster city location no issues, but the closest to me it’s park place, I honestly never happy with them, I always order 4 burritos and I hate they never cook the tortillas one by one, I’m the nicest person and I hate to say something, im a foodie and no I don’t eat uncooked flour tortillas, every time we get home and have to recooked them on a pan, the other issue is that they are making them ridiculous small, my kids love chipotle as live as I do, I bothers me how little barbacoa they are putting, again I hate say anything, tonight my kids says mom let’s get chipotle for dinner, I took a break from cooking and off we went, same order as always, white rice black beans, again uncooked tortillas, the first two burritos were tiny, I was getting so upset, the the other two even smaller, I had to say something, I was so ridiculous, I said excuse me, that’s tiny, I noticed the lady got so upset she rolled her eyes at me, I asked for both salsas, one of the containers was empty and she just scraped wherever was left just to finish my burrito, she was so uncomfortable but I was also uncomfortable, $46 later and 4 tiny burritos, here is a picture of 1 of them, it’s crazy, I can cover it...

This particular Chipotle is unimpressive and underwhelming to say the least. The food is typical for a Chipotle. Where this Chipotle misses the mark is on execution, operations and customer service.

The staff here is (or seems) to be under trained, slightly unprofessional and very unpolished. I've held off on putting in a review thinking it was a one time occurrence. Sadly this behavior has repeated itself multiple times.

Today they literally had raw veggies flat on the counter by the cashier just sitting there. Not in a bag. Flat on the metal surface. The cashier had no idea how to work the register. They again didn't have any ice in the ice machine. They had no chips ready. They didn't have the rugs on the floors at both the drink machine or the entrance.

This location wasn't professionally run and borders on a health sanitation issues. It's a no wonder NO ONE DOES CATERING from this location. Other locations you'll see huge catering orders Being prepped and staged. Not so here and for...

While I've been many times years ago, I came for the $6 BOORITO promotion. These days, I feel that's the only time that it's worth it to come to Chipotle, even if I'm craving it. This restaurant seems to work efficiently; my order was ready by the time I arrived despite all the traffic that day. I enjoyed the quality of the carne asada and the classic taste of the rest of the ingredients. However, I question whether I even had a salad as I had ordered based on the portioning of the ingredients - I could count on my fingers the number of actual salad leaves at the bottom of the bowl, I definitely received less food than in previous years, and the portioning of the rest of the ingredients was strange.
