Top marks for me mate. The food, service, and appearance. This is what it's all about. You've gotta view the plates here more as family style. At least, that's how I think they're best enjoyed. Otherwise, the desserts and the food portions would be too extravagant. Ok, to start you off, they'll bring sliced bread to your table with butter and a tomatillo salsa. The salsa isn't spicy, like 1/16 of a seedless jalapeno. The bread has a crisp but is still soft. The beef heart appetizer, the anticucho de corazon is fine. They cook it well but the flesh is still too adjacent to a liver for my liking but for those who even mildly enjoy liver, it would be a huge hit. The green salsa you get at the start pairs better than the regular salsa provided. The corn is great. Nice, large, poppable pieces. A great change of pace from the smaller sweet corn. The La Ronda plate and all its components come with my urnest recommendation. I can assuredly say, from what I've tried for the La Ronda, that the paella and the calamari dishes are absolute primo. The ceviche was also great though the fish was a little tiresome. And that's just the food. The service here is the best I've received at the Bay at any price point. That's more of shade on the Bay, but our server was extremely attendant. We were probably visited 2 digit times...
Read moreCame out for a weekend dinner and we were seated immediately. Parking in front was full but there was plenty street parking in the area. 2 of us shared the La Ronda Marina. It was a lot of food for 2 or else I would have also wanted to try the lomo saltado. Will have to next time! Loved the variety that thebdish came with. Ceviche and keche tiger were my favorites though. We orobably could've skipped the fried fish, or prefer it replaced with something else. Everything else was delicious though. We also ordered the passionfruit drink and purple corn one. The latter actually was a very mild flavor. I like the passionfruit more but both were good depending on what you're looking for! Would definitely come back again to try the rest of the menu and for some more ceviche!!! Also the green sauce that comes with the bread...
Read moreNice Peruvian restaurant. We have been planning to visit and finally made it. It was not busy when we arrived. It is a small restaurant. The interior is clean and nice with white table cloth. They are plenty item on the menu. Price is considered a bit high. You will be served with bread and for the spread , butter, and jalapeno puree mixed. The jalapeno puree is so good. We ordered empanadas, yucca fries, and Los Coros for starter. They are good, but Yucca is a bit tough. We also ordered Los Traviesos (Chevichera) and the main course of paella. I like Paella. It is cooked nicely The Traviesos is also good, and we asked for fried tortilla to be used to scoop it. Overall, it was a good dinner. They don't serve alcohol yet, but they will in the future. You can bring your own wine and as I understand...
