Recently we got to dine at Mendocino Farms and had a great experience. Parking wasn't too bad as there are quite some spots to grab from in the big parking lot around the complex. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The restaurant's interior is tastefully designed with a modern yet rustic feel. It's spacious, well-lit, and adorned with charming decor that creates a cozy and welcoming environment. However, we decided to sit outside and make use of some daylight while we enjoyed our meal.
The staff at Mendocino Farms were very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They happily accommodated my dietary preferences and made helpful recommendations (around a veggie salad that i was looking for). This level of service truly enhanced the overall dining experience.
Mendocino Farms takes pride in using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients, and it shows in every bite. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from artisan sandwiches and hearty salads to creative sides and gourmet beverages. We ordered the Avocado and Quinoa Salad along with Peruvian Steak, Pink beats and Goat Salad and last but not the least, a BYO (Build your own) Chicken Salad with mixed greens. I had the Quinoa salad and it definitely tasted divine. Everybody around the table had similar reviews for their orders and loved every bite of their meal. The portions were generous, and every ingredient was fresh and flavorful.
Mendocino Farms definitely has the quality and portion sizes justify the prices. It's an excellent choice for a special meal or when you're craving something a bit more upscale.
All in all , the combination of exceptional food, top-notch service, and a charming atmosphere makes it an outstanding dining destination. I can't wait to return and explore more of their...
Read moreA hip new artisan sandwich shop with pleasing fare, but held back by service and selection. Atmosphere: Stylish, modern decor. Chill casual with bartop counters, tables, comfy booths. Nice personal touches everywhere. Selection: A diverse range of sandwiches, but only about 8 choices. While they have pasta and salad sides, they aren't offered as sides, for reasons unknown. Craft soda fountain, but the diet drinks are so foamy I don't know why they bother putting them out. Food: I had the "not fried" chicken sandwich, which was pretty good with the BBQ. If you like Ike's menage a trois you'll love that. Presentation: Sandwiches are served unwrapped and are stacked tall, so things can get messy. Could of used a fork but there's none served and none at self-service. Sauces are served on the side for some reason. Service: Counter serve. Friendly staff, but god help you if you step away from your table for more than 30 seconds. First time the busser took away my pager, second time they took away my unfinished plate. Issues with soda fountain too. Counter staff was kind and resolved everything quickly, but their bussers need to chill. Prices: Not unreasonable but not casual. Any more and I would be expecting sit-down service. Conclusion - Worth trying for foodies and nice...
Read moreOverall: Go-to salad place
FOOD: It can be pricey for salads but it's also very delicious. My personal favorite is the avocado & quinoa superfood salad. It has a nice crunch - similar to the impossible taco salad (also good choice), but has different dressing. I like the vinagrette over the chipotle sauce. My boyfriend enjoys the mama's chinese chicken salad (he prefers the sweeter taste, while i prefer the sour). Cobb salad also delicious. Decently sized salads, almost 1.5 portions of food to me.
We also like the cream of tomato soup - comes out hot and stays hot for a while. If you're looking for a sandwich, try the Reuben bc it is sooo good. And it's the Unreal Reuben, as in not meat!
SERVICE/AMBIANCE: it's an order at the counter and they bring you your food via buzzer. Not really sure if this is a bus your own dishes or they do it for you, but we normally bus. People there are usually friendly.
The only thing that kinda sucks is paying almost...
