Crazy Empanadas — Restaurant in San Ramon

I had Colombian food when I lived in Florida, but I don't remember it being like this. Perhaps there is a difference in Colombian street eats...not sure. This is a food Truck that hangs around the Livermore area, I'm not sure where else they venture. The Bright Yellow colors caught my eye and I decided to give it a try. They were parked right outside Altamont this particular day.

~ Patacon Antioqueño - 4/5 I'm still not sure what I just ate...lol. Not certain this dish tasted like the description. I wouldn't have known I ate Plantains, if it weren't for the description. Hearty, tasty, good flavor. There is a lot going on...

~ Crazy Arepa - 4/5 This is an odd one to me. The Fried pieces of Lechon were absolutely brilliant! However, I felt there was a bit too much going on... This thing is Hearty, Heavy, Overstuffed and has a bit too many flavors and textures going on for my taste. It's hard to eat, since it's overstuffed. It's still good, I just had to dice and separate it, before eating it.

Loved every bite of the crazy arepa that I purchased. The sauces that accompany it just add to the amazing flavor of the ingredients. This is a great Colombian food truck. First Sebastian provides excellent customer service. He really wants to make sure you feel comfortable and he gets your order right. Second, the arepas and empanadas are tasty with excellent dipping sauces that taste fresh to accompany them. I am not typically into pineapple salsas but theirs was great! I will definitely coming back...
