If you enjoy BBQ, order here! There was only one employee working so it took about 20-25 minutes from the time we arrived to waiting in line, placing order, and receiving our order, but we weren't in any rush and our meal was well-worth the wait. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork were fresh, hot, and delicious with sauce included right on each meat. Mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful. Cornbread was served as a cupcake which was fun for our little to enjoy. We also ordered nachos and cheese which were a big hit -- the chips appeared to be custom-seasoned and Derrick Jr has us wanting nachos & cheese with our BBQ now! There is minimal seating inside and Derrick Jr.'s shares a space with a Cookie Dough bar. We took our order outside in the courtyard and ate. Being from the South, I needed that taste to remind me of home and Derrick did not disappoint. We got the sampler platter, runs at 41.99 and it was more than enough for my husband and I. Everything was flavorful, and melt in your mouth good. We had smoked chicken, ribs, brisket and pulled pork. We chose the homemade Mac n cheese, collard greens, and baked beans for our sides. Local barbeque place, very informal so just a few tables and no wait staff. Great for takeout or delivery, good food, generous portions, check out Facebook for daily specials...has been doing indian tikka marsala, chinese pork belly and char siu (roast pork) as changing specials, they are very good, we love his pulled pork, doesn't need bbq sauce so recommend to get sauce on side...reminds husband of roasted pig from Hawaii.
