Finally broke down and bought myself some new furniture after many years of hearing about it from my friends. Alexa at the Sandusky store was extremely helpful and very charming and almost allowed me to go down to the basement and meet the ghost called Henry. Definitely was worth the time and effort to come up to Sandusky and visit the store thanks Alexa for everything. I even got a 10% discount on my two end tables and my coffee table.
Addendum: I would also add that I took out the Pure Promise protection plan on all of my items for $280 which covers the motors, rips, tears, stains, water marks, cracking etc., etc. for 5 years. If I don't make a claim in that 5 yrs. I will receive my money back in the form of a store credit........that sounded fair to me because I was a little bit afraid one of the motors in my recliner or couch would go out in the most unfavorable position. Make your claim within 30 days from discovery and they send out a technician to your home. I also paid for the expert delivery instead of picking up my own items.
UPDATE: Just got a call from the Toledo VCF store that they will be delivering on time this Saturday just as planned.
NOTE: When I do get my furniture, I will upload better pictures of the end tables. My stuff is due near the end of May.
FINAL UPDATE: Everything went as planned and my furniture was delivered on the date I was told in the store. The drivers notified me when they left and what time they were expected to arrive. They also made other calls to inform me where they were at. They moved all the furniture from the truck into my house making sure as to not damage anything. I will upload new images of what I got. I couldn't be more impressed and happier than today. Thank you Value City...
Read moreWe had a wonderful sales experience purchasing an electric recliner loveseat & an electric recliner . . . I don’t usually complain but this is ridiculous. VCF told us to make sure our old furniture was out of the way by delivery day so we got rid of our old living room furniture the evening before our delivery was scheduled (Thursday Sept 12th). We had nothing left to sit on except a folding chair & a straight back living room chair - which we thought would be ok just for 1 evening. VCF also told they would call the day before to confirm delivery day & time - that didn’t happen. The morning of delivery we were left a voice mail telling us they made a mistake and the warehouse had sent the wrong sections of the love seat and would not be able to deliver our furniture until the 19th of Sept. leaving us without furniture for a week. My husband called them back and they told him they could bring the recliner and the half of the loveseat they received from their warehouse today, Saturday. My husband told them not to bring the half of loveseat since we couldn’t use it until they received the correct part but they could at least bring the recliner so we’d have at least something to sit on - they said they would - assured us they had ordered the correct half of the loveseat and if it came in by Saturday they would deliver both the recliner and the whole loveseat. It’s late Saturday nite & nothing was delivered. They made no extra effort to help us and now we will never do business with them again. They wouldn’t let us cancel the...
Read moreWent in looking for new living room furniture, had specific ideas of what I wanted. Jon greeted us, spent a few minutes explaining how the sectionals could be pieced out for different designs, showed us about color options and let us know what aisles everything could be found in. And then he left us to look around, he didn't follow us, didn't hover over us, but was nearby if I had a question. He took us upstairs via the elevator and stayed with us while we browsed. I was deciding between 2 sets and he asked me a few questions to understand better which set would be a better fit for my needs. There was no sales pitch, no pressure, just a super friendly guy there to help. He explained the pricing, the sales going on, and did all the work to get me 12 months zero financing. He told me about the 5 year warranty, and that was a easy choice, it covers EVERYTHING, including rips, mechanical failure and even spills and stains. If you are going to spend the money on new furniture and plan to keep it for awhile, the extra protection is a must have. Jon scheduled delivery when it is convenient for me and explained that I would be notified when it comes closer to the date. He went over the details of the sale with me, and I never felt rushed or pressured. Jon definitely "gets it" and I couldn't be more happy with the entire experience. If you need new furniture go see Jon, actually everyone deserves new furniture, so go see Jon because we all deserve to have nice things and we all deserve the service...
