felt like an igloo inside, which I'm sure is not the fault of the baristas, but still unenjoyable. that, however, was ameliorated by the sweater I put on. the insufferable element that caused me to leave was the music situation. upon arrival, it was quiet and peaceful, conversations being had at a normal volume. later, someone had the bright idea of playing music from their phone placed underneath the espresso machine. I asked the barista to turn it down, which she did for a solid 5 minutes, then the music (which was objectively terrible unless you enjoy the Goodwill pandora station) returned. this also caused conversation volumes to rise and for people to look around wondering what was causing the God awful sound. i usually would have just left, but I wanted to stay close to the veterinarian's office while my dog was being seen. I am typing this Karen-esque review before I leave (joining the smarter individuals who left before me), sacrificing my comfortability, while hearing music so loud that the bass can be felt in the walls. in true Karen fashion, I will end this review with the classic line: "you just lost a paying customer!"
Edit: raised my rating because I don’t think anyone should get in trouble for the lowering of the overall rating (which only sleazy bosses care about and this place looks like it has management who cares solely about profit and publicity, hence the emotionless aura). If you could not tell already, this review is not targeted at the nice baristas but at whoever is in charge, calls the shots etc. etc. Also wanted to add that people should support local coffee shops and not instagram money grabs okay that’s all byeeee
p.s. the length of this review is largely due to my inability to be concise and not genuine anger or discomfort, (and now I realize it’s also due to typing this on my computer which gives one a sense of virtual bravado, editing this on my phone just makes me look like the dweeb I am for writing this in the first place) as I am not actually a Karen and am a relatively reasonable customer and my other reviews were done so that I could get discounts. I will say that the sterile Kardashian interior doesn't exactly help but this seems like a place that survives off its aesthetics and social media promotions so perhaps I am the outlier. the lavender latte was fine though, I'm sure the more visually pleasing drinks taste better for...
Read moreDon’t waste your time going here. Drinks taste like milk and barely have any coffee. Used to go to the location in Vinings as it was halfway decent. My drink was full of milk today, I couldn’t even taste the coffee. If you complain to the staff, they will just tell you that they used to work at the old location and nothing is different. How about try remaking my drink? Or do something to make the customer happy?! Don’t just stand there and shrug your shoulders and tell me nothing is different. Lack of customer service, lack of good quality drinks. I’m officially convinced there is no good coffee in Atlanta and this place ices off the cake. Don’t waste your money or your time going here, it’s not worth it. Who charges 3.50 for a single espresso shot? Who upcharges for caramel and then barely puts any in your drink? CAFE COMMA! Overpriced and...
Read moreFirst time here, and I’ve had this coffee café on my list for a while. This location is fairly new, which is a plus. I also appreciate that there’s free public parking (up to 2 hours).
I visited on a Sunday afternoon—the place was packed, but I was still able to find a seat. The tables and chairs are a bit on the smaller side, so it may not be the most comfortable spot for long hangs.
When ordering, I went with the seasonal banana bread latte. After placing my order, it seemed like the sequence was a little off since I waited about 15 minutes while others who ordered after me were served first. That said, the latte was good — not sure if the wait was worth it.
Overall, I’ll try this place out again for other seasonal drinks. Hopefully the experience will be...
