We stopped for lunch there on the way back from being out of town. If I hadn't been so hungry I would have left before getting seated, because in SPITE of the PA Governor's mandate AND posted Eat'n Park POLICIES, some couple in line in front of us were NOT wearing masks, and the two kids with them were certainly old enough to but of course weren't either). I said something to the hostess and she sort of blathered about there wasn't anything she could actually do because it wasn't "a LAW". I said "It's YOUR CORPORATE POLICY, with signs RIGHT ON THE DOOR." Then, when the waitress came over, we ordered right away, but the food took way longer than it should have (not the waitstaff's fault, but the kitchen's). We also had to ask for another fork since one of the utensil packets didn't have one. A friend of mine, on hearing the story, said we should contact their corporate headquarters, and maybe the Health Dept. (to see what OTHER code violations there were besides the mask policy being violated...).
EDIT: Well I also complained to Corporate, and they passed the complaint over to the manager, and I had a LONG talk on the phone with her earlier today (9/10). She said that they've been told to not make a fuss about people not wearing masks when they come in, because of the fear of violence. I said "If they get violent, CALL THE POLICE!" She understands that we had a really bad experience and has offered to send us a free gift card, and if I don't get it in the next week or two call her back. So the amended review (which she hadn't seen when I talked to her) will get upgraded to 3 stars because she was really trying to do the right thing (and the hostess there on Sunday, is usually is a server, apparently). And she completely understood my point of view. But she said that the staff is told to assume people "can't" wear a mask. Which I don't buy. If you don't want to wear a mask in a store or restaurant you had better bring your damned doctor's note with you -- because as I pointed out to the manager, the business is well within their rights to deny entry. And I told her that I'd heard on the news when we were in MA that Northeastern University has kicked out a bunch of students for violating social distancing rules in off-campus but campus-affiliated housing. FOR THE YEAR. And those students (and their parents) are going to be OUT the $35K tuition (boohoo). And if you're the couple who were in line in front of us, congratulations for teaching those two girls with you (both of whom were ALSO certainly old enough to wear masks) that rules are for other people. Come back in a decade when they become bratty teenagers and I will just point and laugh at...

After a previous visit to Eat n Park I wrote the following: "Absolutely horrible experience this evening. First, I had to read the menu to our waitress, so she knew that the "Whale Of A Cod" dinner comes with two sides, not one. Then when I asked about the rolls that we were supposed to get with our dinner, I was informed they were out of rolls. After waiting for what seemed like forever, the waitress brought us "Whale Of A Cod" sandwiches, not the "Whale Of A Cod" dinners we ordered. When I pointed out the error, she took the sandwiches back to the kitchen and, judging from how quickly she returned, they just took the fish off the sandwiches and put it on the plate with our side orders. While this may seem OK, the size of the fish portions were considerably smaller than what we have gotten in the past (we have ordered the "Whale Of A Cod" dinner numerous times over the past nine months). Then, when our desserts were served the pumpkin pie I was served had a rubbery texture, which lead me to believe it was old, so I sent it back. Frankly, this was the worst service I have ever had at Eat n Park, and I was thoroughly disappointed."
UPDATE: After being contacted by Eat n Park, we were given a gift card and returned to the same Eat n Park location thus evening. What a dramatic improvement. The "Whale Of A Cod" dinners we ordered came with an appropriately sized fish portion (the menu states "HUGE", and they were), the service our waitress provided was immaculate and our meal was quite enjoyable. I can only assume Eat n Park took my initial review seriously, and took appropriate actions to correct the problems I pointed out. Thank...
Read moreI WISH I could leave a separate star review for service. 1 for the actual server, and 1 for the manager. We got seated, and waited at first the typical amount of time for a server to ask what we wanted to drink, another table was seated and right away their whole order was taken before ours by the server in our section, she then proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation with them..all while we are still waiting for drink orders. Another table in the same section came in and again their whole order was taken still before ours. We ended up waiting 30 minutes before getting up and asking for the manager, so whoever the young girl with long brunette hair going into her senior year is, she obviously doesn't care about her job that much. Now to the MANAGER...she went above and beyond her job duties and took our drink orders and food orders all at once, she made sure our food was pushed through quickly and served us, and continued to check on us the entire time we were there. She also didn't charge us for our entire meal. The manager deserves a very big raise, and some wait staff she can count on. When we left I made sure to ask the same girl that was supposed to be our server for the manager and when the manager came back out and the server was standing there still and watched and listened to us STILL give the manager a $30 dollar cash tip and I made it clear it was for only her for going above and beyond even though we didn't have to pay. The waitstaff is the only reason I'm leaving a 1 star review, the food was good, atmosphere was as expected. No manager should have to deal with the lack luster like she...
