Buono Ristorante LLC — Restaurant in Sandy

Having lived in Italy, I enjoy checking out new Italian spots, especially if their locally owned. I was thrilled with Buono! By the way, I don't know anyone who owns it or works there, and I have no personal interest in their business.

2 reasons I give Buono 5 stars and will be going back and recommending it: Authentic, delicious flavors. Carbonara is a common dish, but it never quite meets the flavors I had in Rome. Buono nailed it. Bruscetta was probably the best I've had. Incredible pricing/value. Carbonara was only $12.99 and 3 big, loaded pieces of bruscetta for $7.99. NO ONE is serving dishes like these anywhere near those low prices.

Ways Buono could improve: Seems like they didn't invest much into the atmosphere. Feels kind of like an awkward sandwich shop inside. I mean if that's what's needed to keep the pricing low, keep it up, but it's not great for a romantic evening dinner date. Pasta should have been more al dente. Spaghetti of Carbonara was fully soft. Not badly overcooked, but could be better. Drink options are too limited. No alcohol, and only canned soda. The only diet soda was Diet Coke. Get Diet Dr. Pepper and canned wine. Since they're new hopefully they're just waiting for a license to sell wine.

Absolutely delicious food! We ended up having a big group of people for a birthday dinner and they were so amazing and accommodating for us. We were all trying each other's food too - gnocchi, carbonara, bolognese, pesto, and pizza. You know that look, the "oooo, I thought I picked the winner but yours is way good too!" That was us.

The kids liked their pizza too, so we were glad for that!

We also tried all 3 types of bruschetta - leek, pomodoro (tomato/traditional), and mushroom. All super good. The leek might've been my favorite, it's similar to a spinach artichoke type of flavor/ texture. Then we got dessert to go - cannolis and tiramisu.

Really, hats off to everyone who helped us tonight. It was busy and they handled everything with care. We will be back - actually my mom might be coming back tomorrow for some dessert 😆

Oh! And the pricing is very reasonable, which is a nice bonus for...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 This Italian restaurant is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. The decor has that authentic Italian charm, and the staff make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

The food was incredible you can tell everything is made fresh with love. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the desserts were absolutely divine.

It’s rare to find a place that combines great service, delicious food, and such a warm, inviting vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back again...
